Certainly no comeback from Smythy or the club on it. It did seem to be an accident. Wish him better.

My mate who's a season ticket holder there feels they have been totally mismanaged at board level for a decade now. It is amazing though that almost every season we seem to have near identical end of season stats with them with both sides fighting for 16th most years.

I think we are lucky to have him. He's a baller. A few friends at Peterborough said he was absolutely different class. He's 21!

I love Lloyd. The kid just wants the ball all the time and makes such good runs. Morgan looks like he's been playing for 10 years and he just feels like a natural number 8 to me. His way of play reminds me a bit of the great Gerry Francis. Frey and Dunne in the opposing box are a total menace.

Amazing what a bit of youth and confidence does!

Congrats to Illy on his 250th appearance. Amazing and he's still only 27. As he says, here's to the next 250. Fabulous player.

True. I was very much in the 1-1 camp this evening but they are getting good at 'grinding these results out' and with some flair too. At least we are creating the chances we are missing at the moment. If it wasn't for their keeper and the post a few times that would have been more. But yes, 5 in a row from QPR is always some sort of force against the predictable ones where we throw things away.

We're actually (points wise) closer to the play off positions than the relegation positions as of tonight. Don't worry I am not going off on one but who would have thought that literally about 6 weeks ago?

It's a difficult one. Technically by the rule book his arms are within his outline or whatever it is. It would have been handball had he caught it, but he dropped it and kicked it in. He was actually waiting to see if the ref or anyone had spotted the push so I think he was slightly surprised it was given but he did the professional thing, he put it in the net anyway.

Excellent as always. Gives a special mention for Alfie. Explains why he started Edwards in midfield. Makes sense now.

Onwards and upwards Rsss!

Tremendous stuff. Great game. Lloyd is a real handful. Despite the tight stats that was a well deserved win and hard fought as Luton really weren't bad at all.

Luton have set up to smoother midfield and also hit it long.

Tonight will be a more difficult game than I think we are expecting. Luton will set up not to get beat and we're not great at teams that come to do that. But... It is time for Jimmy Dunne to exorcise the ghost of the Luton comms a few seasons ago when they made fun of his bad injury. Time to put a few goals past them Jimmy in your current form!

Astonishing. Takes everything in his stride.

One of the best signings we could make this window

I don't think so. I think it is a prelude to the fact that we've suffered injuries to Cook, JCS and Morrison twice and we know Jimmy is doing well at right back. I agree we absolutely have to get Jimmy on a new contract asap.

People sometimes laugh at Francis but have you seen his girlfriend?!!!

You suddenly start thinking... perhaps I should start running around after trains?

How have things changed so drastically in last ten games
at 21:40 1 Jan 2025

Promoting the juniors (who 'weren't ready') from the development team to the first team because we had no choice (and finding out that they were ready) and the coach and senior team putting their arm around them. Then the bond that created between the squad and the fans.

Amazing how adversity can throw up an unlikely solution!

Good shout. Just needs a few more goals to really start looking like him but my god he is a vastly improved player these days. At 27 he is a fantastic example to the younger players whilst still be very young himself.

Hopefully can play a similar role against a very physical Luton next time.
