More fibs from Rachel?
at 19:16 20 Feb 2025

She got the nickname because of her performance in her current job, not because of her gender.

It's her name and her job, I'd say Kamikwarsi was more derogatory. Then there's Jeremy C....definitely worse.

Sexual Harassment Or Not?
at 19:12 20 Feb 2025

It wasn't the rank by the time I went there, Jumpin jacks, Time and Envy, Oceania but yes, there was a fair amount of female on male action that would be considered some kind of abuse today.

Bloody modern young people, I know there were too many times when things went too far but even so, the young uns haven't half taken the fun out of life. Cripes, you can hardly even look at a pretty face anymore without someone getting triggered.

This fella was bloody stupid and deserved a punishment but I do think it's overkill.

What a blooming strange film though it does sort of capture what life can be like!

The endless reptitive nonsense that we all go through. Does this film just point out how miserable life is or is there another meaning?

After what Trump has said and is trying to do, we cannot be sure what Russia will do.

Putin must be feeling quite emboldened by now.

It's not a nice thing to say but whatever level of distrust there was before (because some Europeans don't like Americans) I think right now ALL of Europe has to be sceptical about the USA.

I have picked a side, not the EU but Europe, yes. We need to stand together and forget about the USA.

With the right amount of budget and the will to make it happen, Europe can become a major world power unto itself.

I knew Trump would be trouble but I didn't think he'd go so far as to describe a demcratically elected leader as a dictator AND side with the ruler who IS a dictator. If this is what the Americans really want, if they back Trump on this then it's time for the Americans to be turfed out of NATO and for Europe to have it's own structured defence system. Europe has to do what I've been saying the UK needs to do which is become as self sufficient as possible.

I have met (in person) quite a few Americans I liked, on the internet I've met a few goons too though. I struggle to believe the majority of Americans are happy with this pro Russia stance from their POTUS but it is what it is and it's time for Europe to stand together and alone, apart from the USA for the first time in 80 years.

How do you have elections during a war?

How can you ignore the invaded country when having peace talks?

How ca a democratically elected leader be called a dictator when...PUTIN and not to forget Trump wasn't so keen on democracy when he lost.

Trump wants Ukraine to fold and give Russia everything they have already and more but no, that's not unfair according to some. These same people often tell us to open our eyes

The industrial action ending cost a helluva lot of money though and was controversial.

I'm not sure they have improved much with the EU yet, that's a slow burner for me. Lets see the outcome before boasting.

Now the onshore wind farms, that could be a very important move given Russia's alleged sabotage of undersea cables,

foreignpolicy.com/2025/01/03/russia-baltic-sea-cable-cutting-incidents-gas-oil-energy-norway/

Though some Quisling will probably be along to say it's not Russia (along with China) and that it's NATO or the USA or some other BS.

That might have been the case before Trump became a Russophile. If he feels safe from American action, who knows?

So what? Did everybody vote for those parties solely because of the 20mph thing? How many of those people actually knew what was in the manifesto's and how many just voted the same old way because that's what a lot of people do?

How many voted Plaid because...independence?

Apart from major talking points we see on the news or if we happen to watch the Party Political Broadcasts I reckon not many at all could state with certainty more than a few things in any manifesto, even for the party they voted for.

If any Western troops (NATO or just the UK) go into Ukraine what will Putin do? He has already said no, would we be starting something there's no coming back from?

That tripwire could set off the biggest bomb...

What about the promise to restore trust? people saw that he'd taken a"kickback" and straight away went....here we go again.

I don't remember the word direct being used about taxes, maybe I'm wrong....
Sir Keir Starmer has attempted to define who "working people" are, amid renewed scrutiny of his tax plans ahead of next week's Budget.

Labour promised at the general election not to increase taxes on working people - but the party did not define who it had in mind.

The government is looking at increasing tax on asset sales, such as shares and property, freezing income tax thresholds, and changes to inheritance tax.

The prime minister insists working people will not be hit by these changes - but he has struggled to define who exactly he is seeking to protect from tax rises.

The Conservatives have accused Labour of "reinventing" what counts as a working person, as the Budget approaches.

That's the thing though, you don't pass unless you do it within the times allowed, if he couldn't then he cannot do it and at 67 a few weeks conditioning isn]t going to do much.

A 40Kilo Bergen is quite a load for a 67 year old.

How cam any talks without Ukraine involved be legitimate?

Why has Trump apparently taken Russia's side in this and even stated "Uktaine shouldn't have started it" and said other false nonsense too?

We should never let UK troops go there. The Wets has treated this as a way to weaken Russia but now Trump has stepped in all of that, all the deaths, they're worthless and they were already a terrible waste of live.

All that talk from certain people about Russia helping Biden win, maybe those people can explain why Trump os so keem to help Russia with this? |Even to the point of excluding Europe.

I don't disagree with the greyhound racing ban. I'm more concerned by th cruelty these dogs face when they are no longer "useful" though.

Kilky, the stats for the first year, why did they mix the 20 and 30mph rpoads together? Possibly because the stats don't show that 20mph was effective and UkKstats show accidents have been dropping for years. I want to see the stats purely for 20mph roads so we can see the whole truth.

Communication is sometimes woeful for a reason, the truth doesn't suit the politicians.

It's fine to be in the modern world, lets face it, we ave no choice. Even so we need to be careful because as time passes we hear more and more about the harm technology is doing. That was the case anyway, until noise cancelling headphones, it seems they are damaging young peoples hearing,

There's bollocks and there's utter bollocks and then.....there's that!

Boundy, you were actually in the army, could you do that at 67?

Seems to me there's a kind of MCI going on here.
