I don't recall Givens ever being booed. He scored in his first home game and carried on in the same vein. And he cost £40k. I do recall Frank Saul getting a lot of stick early on as a striker but becoming very popular when he converted to midfield. I can't understand why moronic peabrains boo our own players. |

Sammy Koejoe was on a par. Rumour had it that we signed him after seeing a video. |

I do notice that Wycombe are now top of division 1. Just saying. |

Man loses job. 5 pages of it in my paper today. Did the Queen's demise get so much space? |

Also the TV version of Stephen King's Salem's Lot with David Soul Not much gore, but plenty of scary moments and genuinely sinister James Mason performance. |

Do we know if Celar ever played as a lone striker before he came here? Would he thrive in a 2 man strike force? |

He must be better than his record for us. Forty goals in 95 appearances. Had a number of suitors in the champ before signing for us. Why do so many players who come herey underperform? |

The lower leagues are full of clubs that went down and definitely didn't come straight back up eg Charlton Bolton Swindon Huddersfield Blackpool etc. Why should we be any different? |

It is incredible that he had been attending our games through 10 decades - surely unique. RIP indeed. |

Great entertainer, a pity we never saw him at his best in div 1. I saw him and Stanley many times and it is difficult to choose which one was better. Marsh for strength, Bowles for speed. |

Analytics worked for Brighton and Brentford. Perhaps we need lessons. |

Ainsworth wasn't sacked until October 28, when we were 23rd. At least Marti doesn't look as ill or as haunted as Ainsworth did, although his brow is a bit furrowed. I have to ask how much say Marti had in the signings we have made, as with the exception of Nardi, I don't think anybody is playing to the standard we would like. Also Paal and Field have both retrogressed. Why? |

Jimmy Ruffin and "What becomes of the broken hearted" for me. Johnnie Walker played it over and over on Caroline. |

Not sure about the squirrel analogy. They are verminous parasites who eat everything I put out for the birds and steal our blueberries |

Also had a cartoon cinema at Waterloo Station just by platform 1 . They then changed it to show soft porn movies. Just what the tired commuter needs before heading home to Virginia Water. |

I wish someone would instruct me how to open a tin of baked beans without damaging several fingers and smearing everything in sight with beans and getting the memsahib in a strop. |
