Perhaps Lloyd should but my thoughts are influenced by the lack of loan time Armstrong got and the ‘what if’ feeling there is with his transfer. Wouldn’t want Lloyd to possibly suffer the same way. Although they are different players You’d like to think Dykes may be on his way out or we at least get another forward in, if we have the £££, which we probably don’t! |

Wasn't at the game today but perhaps a loss like this will serve as a reality check and temper expectations all round. Not saying that we're all expecting a play off tilt! Even before today, I have thought we were 2/3 players short (striker, attacking mid, defensive/centre mid). What has at least been encouraging this pre-season is seeing the emergence of Kolli and perhaps Lloyd. Kolli in particular is a match day squad addition. Lloyd could benefit from a brief lower league loan (in league 1/2) to get some more game time. [Post edited 27 Jul 20:50]

Apologies Ned - meant to add to the thread not reply specifically to your post! I’m a fan of some hip hop. Find the angrier stuff turns me off. The mellower type, Common, de la soul, The Roots, Pharcyde, I enjoy. Slightly off topic but I find it weird when people are sad and listen to sad music. That would only make me worse!! I agree. Kolli looks like he could be a useful match day squad addition and was encouraged by Alfie Lloyd and Daniel Bennie too. Frey also looked like he'd lost half a stone and was busying himself about. Nardi made some smart stops and also a couple of great bits of distribution. Not one to get too carried away about as it was a friendly, but we were worth a goal. Dykes unlucky with that header but should've put away that chance that was in prime Idrissa Sylla territory. I have a family connection to the Thompsons, his younger sister is my godmother. Great to see Daley finally get some overdue recognition. Often feels like a forgotten man in British sport. His achievements mean his profile and status should be far bigger than it is. Not that Daley would really mind that much, he is his own man, always has been. [Post edited 17 Jul 18:39]

If his agent is engineering a move, then let him. Much better to have people that want to stay at the club 3 goals in 60 games is a poor return (even if he is still developing) If he does go though, we need to replace his speed, which has been a useful asset from the bench.. |

You know one of those occasions in life when you’re not sure how you’ll feel about something happening and then when it does happen, it turns out you’re more relieved than anything. And relieved is exactly how i’m feeling about Willock leaving which would’ve been unthinkable during the illy/willy days of yore. |

I’m trying to think of a QPR keeper in the last 25 years who stayed on his line more than he did. Granted, he made a few important saves but equally he dropped a few points (Plymouth especially) too. Overall, given his profile, he was a little underwhelming. Excited about the new keeper (who I know nothing about!) |

This feels more like a fashion item than a football kit and seems to be appealing to the football hipsters a bit too much. I don’t totally hate it, but I won’t be buying it. It’s not QPR enough. |

Agreed. It’s less a debate about politics and more a debate about dying on a certain hill. |

The older I get the more I think, I just want people in charge who serve us, and not themselves and their mates… wishful thinking Sunak and Starmer both at the their core feel relatively centrist and looking more widely it feels like extremes (right) on the rise in Europe will be the future battleground when the next election cycle hits. |

If we could sustain a PL existence, could we live with a 15,000 seater stadium, with leg room and maybe some better bars. If it were ever possible to purchase the school end (wasn't this a recently discussed possibility again) and we could then do something about capacity? I certainly don't want us to leave [Post edited 9 Jun 12:01]
