Just as the first half was ending i realized i had this funny feeling, something i hadn't felt in the team in a while and that was pride.
Hopefully this game will be our springboard, the players are looking more lively with something to prove and the manager(touch wood) started actually making some good subs to have an impact on the game rather than like for like. Our new youngster looks nippy a bit more experience under his belt and he would have been able to bury that chance he got, let's hope we see more. |

Excellent result despite the opposition, now lets try this line up against a team with a bit more steel and see if it still pays off! It's been frustrating that its taken this long to get Austin in the team seeing as in the games I've seen this season Gabbi often struggles to get on the end of crosses and being that's the majority of our attacking outlet seems like a bit of a tactical faux pas, but hey life goes on.
Will be interesting to see what this means for Wednesday. I can't see MP playing Austin twice in 4 days with his record for injuries but City might be a game that suits Gabbi a bit better anyway as I'd imagine we'll be on the back foot quite a lot so we'll have to break away quickly. |

The only game we've won this season was against a 10 man West Ham side and we needed two penalties to do that. Few more performances like last week and there won't be 7 teams below us for long. Let's see a more positive attitude from the players and then I'll think about lightening up ;). |

Excellent performance from the Saints, we showed real fight to get back into the game and the score is not an accurate reflection of how we dominated, but there is the cruelty of football for you. Can't be long no before video replays are incorporated into the game now that initial goal would have changed the entire game. Oh and one final thing, screw you Zlatan. |

Shouldn't even be a question, we have the technology why not use it? If we're worried about disrupting the free flowing nature of the sport then why not follow in the footsteps of many other sports that use the technology and only allow a certain number of challenges per game. |

The only issue I'd have with selling him is that it reinforces the idea that the players can just throw a tantrum at any point in order to orchestrate a move away from the club. That's an attitude that we need to begin trying to stifle if we're ever to improve. |

His reactions were exceptional against Palace over the weekend, I couldn't see Steklenburg making some of those saves and ultimately things could have been alot worse without him between the sticks. He was also in quite good control of his defence considering this is his first game of the season. Only thing I would mention as a negative is that his distibution could do with a bit of improvement, some of his kicks were a bit wayward. |

That's a big if Tommo, especially after he was out for such a substantial period of time but here's hoping.
Austin would be a great addition to the squad, Pelle could certainly do with the competition and the abundance of attacking options we now possess gives us the opportunity to change to a plan B or even plan C should plan A not be working. |
