Just to keep the focus on Harry Redknapp's modus operandi, OGS watched Cardiff on Saturday and had in the stands with him two Ex-Man Utd development players who had been at Molde with him.
One has signed subject to a medical, the lad is 23 years old, the other is 18 years Old and will be completing later in the week.
OGS says the foundations are right at Cardiff but nevertheless he has incoming players within 48 hours. Three other players are being targeted, all are young as OGS wants to 'work' with young enthusiastic players. His striker from Molde is now at Hannover is also a target.
Cardiff play in the same under 21 Development group as QPR, but clearly as OGS has worked with, coached and managed both these players he knows their value. Cardiff will pay £2 million for Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Mats Moller Daehli will be, perhaps, a little less.
He feel's that he ought to bring in new blood.
Loan players could be Wilfred Zaha and the young Williams at Crystal Palace.
It strikes me OGS would be the type of Coach that QPR need to bring in the new era, combining Warren Farm in two to three years and New Queens Park Stadium in 2018/2019.
When will that change happen? When Harry's contract ends at the end of next season 2014/2015? Would it matter which League we where in...PS QPR instructed two teams of solicitors and project management to progress the stadium this week!
Exciting times balanced by watching Karl Henry play his unique style of football. All in the week that The Black Pearl Eusbio lost his boots. Good, Bad, Sad!

Solskjaer was suggested on here after Warnock & Hughes.

With the kindest will in the world, Fernandes knows as much about football as my 92 year old nan and almost certainly has never even heard of him.

Is your nan a holding right sided midfielder? Would she like a 4 year deal?

Never knowingly right.

Think it a bit of a gamble TBH . It wasnt that long ago that Aidy Boothroyd was the latest young gun . Even touted for England at one time .

...or that he owes an agent a drink.

Lets see if he's any good before we start falling over ourselves at the next big thing, he could still get relegated this season

Can't fathom why he's gone there.

Ringo Starr ate my hamper.

If Cardiff get relegated is it not the fault of the manager who was sacked and not the manager coming in,is that not how it works ?

he's also signing players from his old clubs, something Redknapp is regularly slated for

cant help but agree.

saw the headline comments from his inaugural press conference, I see Tan succeeded in brain washing him - lines such as "everything is not what it seems from the outside" just make me cringe. I wish him well but cant help but think it's a poison chalice down there.

depends where they are when he takes over, Cardiff are not even in the bottom 3 at the moment, similar to us when Hughes came in

So, he is splashing millions to bring in 2 players that nobody knows a thing about except that they are third tier internationals that he worked with previously. Sounds EXACTLY like what got us relegated. What is the difference between these lads and Macheda?

Both players mentioned above are represented by the same agent who happens to be OGS's best friend. So basically you're saying you want Hughes back...

I was gonna say this. Gotta be consistent either way

QPR - "shit but local"

nothing wrong with signing players you've worked with before.
A lot less risky as you know their character, abilities and whether they can follow your instructions
But the difference being, OGS seems to be after young hungry players...
Not a slight against redknapp, but it does save you wages if it doesn't pay off.
And we're talking only about a couple of £m, so not excessive in premiership spend.
