Warren Farm on 16:24 - Sep 30 with 12341 views | Juzzie | This is really good news and I bet all those NIMBY's who have nothing better to do will shut up once they have (part) access to a modern facility, paid for by a private company with no burden on the local Council Tax payers as opposed to a delapidated facility only used by dog-walkers. Warren Farm on 09:14 - Oct 1 with 11556 views | simmo | So where is the official word here? I was under the impression it was always going to go through anyway but we have to go through the formality of hearing the opposed state their case first. What other than that has actually been said or done that will mean we can actually get a spade in the ground? Or is this more nedless 'ITK' shite?

Just posting what I've heard from a friend who works at the council. If you feel it's "needless ITK crap" then feel free to ignore it. I'll try to give a flying one about your opinion.

Warren Farm on 10:53 - Oct 1 with 11396 views | stansleftfoot | 306 local residents have signed the Anti's petition, the argument is that Ealing Council will be gifting a 200 year lease to QPR. The development sits on Metropolitan Open Land, a planning use designation preventing development like this. It is accepted by High Court, in disputes like this , that developments like this can break planning regs if there is a "planning gain". Tesco's gifts drainage and road infrastructure for future development to get planning for Supermarkets in the green belt or on industrial building land throughout the country. Merely tidying up an area can be considered a planning gain. The planning and approval have been given by Boris and the Council, all that remains is a legal challenge. I believe that pre-warning documents of a legal objection maybe or could be lodged. However, how the 306 good and true of Hanwell can present a cogent case in the High Court is difficult to imagine. The usual step is to apply for an SSI ( Site of Scientific Importance ) on the basis that the 'lily livered mealy mouthed suburban resident' or toad might be threatened by the development. http://www.wfig.org.uk/about : is a freelance journo using the issue to practice web-site building but has info http://www.savewarrenfarm.com/ : are the objectors, 306 on the petition so far. Any real and substantive ITK information would have to be as a result of a Planning Council meeting to be accurate and would therefore come as a public announcement....IMO the application will go through but there is no start date to put a spade in the ground...should be considered as stuck on Amber/Yellow rather than Green.

Emphasis on the 'OR'. I was asking if it is one or the other, just stating 'green light' when we have got that anyway is not really saying anything. Do you know when this can be expected, or why they have decided the issue can now be dealt with? 'I'll try to give a flying one about your opinion.' So is this your/your friends opinion or is this fact?
