I do hope that Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard all leave all the free kick taking responsibilities to RL should any shooting opportunities come England's way.

Can't see it.

Would love to see a lambert territory beast fly in though.

Nice little bit in the Mail, about Rickys time at the Dale, with Grant Holt.

Good piece and if I'm not mistaken, a picture from the 4-1 home win over Torquay in which Scott Warner scored his screamer.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

A readable piece from the mail, must be a miracle

Delighted for Lambo. Nothing will give me better pleasure than seeing him score against Scotland.

Sweepstake on next former Dale to make it to the first team? Buckley for me.

Tangled up in blue.

He did, although his one cap came in 1949 before he joined Dale. He was with WBA at the time.

As did Brian Greenhoff, jimmy only made the U23s I think.

The picture on the home page is a reminder of another shocking footy shirt

I think Mike Doyle also won a couple of caps - well before his season with Dale, obviously.

As for possible future caps - if I were England manager, having the option of Adam Le Fondre on the bench to bring on should a late goal be needed would seem sensible...

That was a shocker. Whose idea was a low-cut football top?!

Gilks in the Scotland squad also.

Any examples of former Dale player and/or colleagues facing each other at International level..?

Always liked Lambert - does not come accross as a big headed at all. Nice when when he refused to celebrate when he scored in the WMG end for Rovers. He seemed really gutted when he knocked it in.

Poll: Do you want bury to get promoted?

And one of the first people on Twitter to congratulate Rickie......... Grant Holt.

Nice touch.
