Kolli signs new deal! on 12:27 - Jan 17 by Ned_Kennedys | Does it really matter? |
Future historians will need to know the exact date that Kolli signed the deal that eventually led him to become a £263m forward, signing for Bayern Munich and winning the 2027 Super Duper League Of Really Big Clubs And That. Either that or we're just nosey bastards. I know I am.

Kolli signs new deal! on 12:38 - Jan 17 by QPRSam | This guy needs a loan? He's already clearly at the level and it's so impressive at that age. Amazing news that he's staying and can't wait to see how he develops |
Well done for highlighting those incredibly impressive numbers of Kolli's. We have a serious talent at our club, just hope that it's nurtured correctly so that it is maximised in the years to come. Merde day at work, but this news has pleased me no end. You R's.

I think he needs lots of game time and would progress quicker with it. But as it stands, second choice striker for us.

Kolli signs new deal! on 12:53 - Jan 17 with 1710 views | aston_hoop | Lloyd is the one who needs a loan more I think, he's short of the level at the moment although I know he's a great sub option for now. But for me, Kolli and Frey are the two first choice strikers who we can rotate or even use together if needed. Celar will have to work hard to get minutes when he is fit again

Kolli has the quality to play a number of different positions for us - I don't think he's restricted to just being a striker. Even still, with a typically packed schedule and being the complete opposite of Frey playstyle wise, he'll get plenty of minutes with rotation and allows Marti to change our style of play as he wishes. I think long term he'd settle better into a winger position, getting more on the ball and able to drive at defenders. The Spurs friendly showed the potential in that.

Kolli signs new deal! on 12:35 - Jan 17 by slmrstid | Is it me or are Nourry's comments in this one coming across a bit pointy? Great news though, I really like him and he's getting better, his composed finish against Leicester was excellent. |
Yes but the one he blazed wildly over at 1-1 could have cost us the game IMO. Take the lead there and the crowd would have turned on Leicester but instead Ashby blew it for us a few minutes later. The kid has a lot of ability and great attitude but needs to be starting every game in less pressure situations to learn his craft so if we are safe then loan him until June .

Got to say I disagree. I think he would be the perfect striker for the formation we currently play. Just needs a little more experience rather than cameos off the bench. The most exciting player to come out of our youth system since Sterling imo. Before anyone mentions Chair, he didnt come through the ranks Anyhow, we can all agree that its fantastic news that he ha signed a new contract.

Marti explained the two different types of strikers he uses in the Masterclass video. The false 9 type that drops deeper, plays in the pockets and links up with the wingers. Then the absolute number 9 that plays on the defensive line and pins the center backs that we play direct to. I think Kolli aligns with the first but the second is definitely Frey or Lloyd. We can certainly agree it's good news 👍🏼
Kolli signs new deal! on 13:20 - Jan 17 with 1397 views | PlanetHonneywood | Funny this comes hours after Haaland's contract extension announced. I'm reliably informed that a swap of Haaland plus cash for Kolli was on, but fell through when Kolli voiced a preference to stay at QPR. Hopefully now he can really push on.

Kolli signs new deal! on 13:23 - Jan 17 with 1366 views | Logman | Brilliant news. This kid has got everything it takes and he can be the answer up front. I think Alfie can be one of our striking options too. Priority for me now is a LB and no. 10. Morgan is good but not sure he can go past players in the way that is needed from a no. 10.
Kolli signs new deal! on 13:27 - Jan 17 with 1342 views | BklynRanger | Great news - it's a bit less enjoyable seeing a player begin to really click when they're on the brink of leaving. Kolli signs new deal! on 13:30 - Jan 17 with 1322 views | Pdog | Great news. As mentioned above the best youth prospect we've had in years. I am somewhat intrigued however that the 9 years from age 8, to signing pro at 17, he was never poached like many others before him. Was it a case of late development that kept him under the radar, or just a deep love for the R's that made him stay? Im sure one of our acadamy fotball gurus could shed some light.

Nearly went to West Ham a couple of years back, they liked him, played a couple of trial games, they were keen, QPR played hard ball and West Ham didn't fancy going through tribunal.

Kolli signs new deal! on 12:17 - Jan 17 by Gloucs_R | If I say I think he needs to go out on a 6 months loan am I going to get lynched? Thats great news though. A fantastic talent and certainly a regular first team player in the future. |
Really? You want Lloyd & Kolli to go out on loan & leave us just with Frey? Or is Dillon going straight into the squad?

From a letter Rayan's father wrote to Chris Ramsey, today I learned : Rayan, at the age of 16, had the opportunity to join West Ham, a tempting prospect for any young footballer. The offers were enticing, and many believed that this was the path he should take. But you, Chris, saw something more profound. You saw the promise, the potential, and the value that Rayan held for QPR's future. You made a tough call, one that required tremendous courage. You turned down significant offers, you challenged us in a six-month-long battle, and you decided to take the matter to tribunal to prevent Rayan from leaving QPR. It was a decision that wasn't understood by many at the time, but you had a plan, a vision for his growth, and an unshakable belief in the club's future. On December 2021, that final meeting with West Ham defined the path we would take. They wanted Rayan desperately, but you, Chris, had decided to stand firm. You were willing to go to tribunal to protect QPR's interests, and I couldn't help but wonder why. Why would you do this? The answer, we discovered, lay in the future.

This is why we need Academy 1 status. It means you get more from the tribunal. And if Prem clubs are not sure with Academy 2 status for sure that increases their risk if we are at Academy 1 status. May help to frighten a few off. But it costs more, you say? Well, according to recent reports, QPR now says that it's not that much more, so in my view we might as well do it. Another reason is, let's say, that a new prospect appears, 13-year-old Kevin Gallen, is the latest and greatest out there at his age. Lucky QPR are on to him in a flash, but this means Arsenal, Fulham, and, of course, 500 agents vanking off Chelsea are, too. If we say, with QPR, you talk to this Gallen player and tell him and his parents that he has a great chance of getting in the first team and then going up into the Prem and England, ala Eze and Sterling. Also, if not, then look at Manning, Bos, even Dieng and Armstrong. There is a career from QPR in the harsh world of football for you. Then back this up with the latest three who have come through (Morgan, Lloyd and Kolli). We even have a Prem class training ground and a full coaching staff, and so on. But then come in the Chelscum, and they say, "Yeah, but we also have this and more. Also, more money for you, and we have Academy 1, which is needed to give you the best chance possible to develop into the best player you could possibly be". That's not true, of course, but as we know, Gallen's mum and dad would want that; they would actually be swayed more by the Academy 1 status as the money will come. They will want to give their son the best possible chance and be in a mental state that they did the best for their son they could have possibly done. Why would you not? In my biased view, if we have the money to do it, we should definitely get Academy 1 status. It would give us more leeway on tribunals, promote the club as a Prem class in waiting, and endure smarter parents towards us who know Chelsum is all money and no career. But not having it, means some will be swayed by that. Clubs, if they can afford it, need to show that they have all the capability to bring young Gallen all the way through with the highest training and coaching capabilities known in the industry. It's simple to understand, how many Prem clubs don't have Academy 1 status?
