Jack Stephens conspiracy theory… 10:20 - Jan 5 with 1275 viewsdavidargyll

Given the slow motion disaster that has befallen us, culminating in the Brentford fiasco, I cannot help but think that Captain Jack just might have been an expressing a massive amount of frustration with the entire set-up at SMS when he got himself sent off, if not the first time, certainly the second time (although conceivably both). Because had he been playing against the Bees, doubtless he would have been castigated, justified or not; but as he was AWOL, wasn't the entirety of the rest of the team shown up for what they are? ie a bunch of unfit, overpaid, barely Championship players?

So I may be crediting him with more nouse than he deserves, and of course he is no world-beater himself, but I just wonder whether he was also basically telling the world: “Sod this for a game of soldiers, I have completely had it with this load of idiots, they couldn't run a bath, and I want out.”

He’s no worse than Bednarek.
Both should be nowhere near a Premier League starting XI.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Jack may not be a top player, but at least he does appear to care. Same with Smallbone, will give his all for the team. Unlike Ugochukwu who, for a big build of a player can't tackle, gets pushed around easily. Sulemana, thinks he is better than he is, Sugawara other player is not up for the fight

I am not sure he does care, otherwise he would not have got those 2 stupid sendings off and a ban extension for abuse to officials. Also, we have not heard a thing from Stephens following last sending off. I would have at least expected an apology for letting team and fans down. That probably tells us how much he cares (unless I missed a response from JS)

Yes they may give their all, but unfortunately, it is far from being good enough at this level.

I agree with comment on Sugawara. Error prone and can't defend. Get rid.

With regards Sulemana, for weeks I have been advocating give him a chance, and yet when he gets a chance, he does nothing. Again - get rid.

Sulemana was the clubs record signing! So far 0 goals!!!!

Who recommended him to Saints and who agreed to buy him?

Suleimana scored twice against Liverpool, his celebrations we’re memorable gymnastic feats.

City Boy that is exactly my point. Because by getting sent off, arguably he showed he DID care and just couldn’t abide the current administration.
There are other posts on here suggesting the fans join in a demo of throwing tennis balls on to the pitch at the next home game(s); perhaps Captain Jack was just doing his own demo somewhat earlier…?

I don't think he is that clever. However, he could be useful as someone on the inside to get the tennis balls into the ground ?
