Tyler Morse looks set to take on a more prominent role 14:30 - Nov 14 with 11790 views | Landore_Jack | Sources across the pond have indicated to WalesOnline that American property tycoon Tyler Morse could well be among them. Morse, the founder of MCR Hotels, already holds a small shareholding in the club, and his stake is set to be increased as part of the new takeover. The exact value of his potential share isn't yet known, but one source has told WalesOnline that he is expected to take a more hands-on role, and could even be handed a position on the board of directors. The hotelier recently made headlines for striking a £275m deal to buy the BT Tower in London, which he plans to turn into an 'iconic hotel'. His current portfolio consists around 150 hotels around the world, an estimated worth of £3.9 billion. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/state-play-swansea-ci

I don’t expect significant investment in the playing squad in January, maybe a striker and a bit of squad depth. |
That would be my view and in fact the best way to do it.

They can’t go mad, P&S is the issue. No matter how much Tyler Morse has financially.

Tyler Morse looks set to take on a more prominent role on 11:51 - Nov 23 with 1157 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Birch was at the club for 18 months selected Leon Britton as his advisor and appointed Cooper a on a three year deal two with parachutes. Cooper did well but left no legacy but cleared out some dead wood. Cooper did not fancy working with a tight budget and declined to see out his third year. Swansea under Birch promoted the BLM without due diligence. It is unlikely the Swansea fan base prefer communal living runaway father's and defunding the police.

If we had quality in every position and decent squad depth, I’d understand that. If Coleman and the new owners have any sense, which I’m sure they have, they’ll judge him based on the quality of the squad. If we ever become one of the bigger spenders and we’re still mid table, more people will start to think the same way. |
I’m not saying we should sack him. What I’m saying is with hopefully the better standard of players we start signing the less the excuse of “the manager isn’t being backed” will be tolerated. That is the same for all managers. I’m not convinced that Williams has the nous to change a game when the going gets tough but I’d be delighted to be proven wrong. At times we’ve seen some green shoots only for him to fall back on Russball lite. The jury is still out for me.

Me too. He has done nowhere near what I believe others think he has. He’s achieved nowt and won nowt. We are four points from relegation three. We are on a very tight league We have much to do. I’m hoping we do. If the new owners believe we can get a better coach then what? It’s not about loving a coach

That’s exactly what you’re saying. ‘I do believe his days are definitely numbered should this taken over happen’. Words to that effect with exactly that meaning. Unless you’re saying you don’t think we should sack him but you think the new owners will. I doubt anybody would have disagreed with the post you just made, but it completely contradicts the one where you thought his data were definitely numbered.

You’re not seeing the full picture. You’re just looking at the league table without context. What Omri just said is right. If he gets backed and we bring better players in, nobody will be able to say he’s playing with a hand tied behind his back or he hasn’t been backed. At the moment, we’ve got the weakest strike force since we left the Vetch in my opinion, including the seasons in league one. We’ve got two centre backs who have to play every minute, we’re in a lot of trouble the minute either of them gets injured and we haven’t got a fit #10 at the club. Judge him when he’s on a level playing field, which will hopefully be soon.

You say P&S is the issue Keith and I certainly don't expect them to splash too much cash. But the previous lot cut everything to the bone so I don't understand why there may be a problem if some money is spent.

The previous lot "cut everything to the bone" because we were losing more than £10m a season. Clubs can't keep doing that and not run afoul of P&S. This is the kind of thinking that I'm worried about. Suddenly people seem to believe that we're on easy street and can start splashing the cash.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Most will go on infrastructure and holding things straight off the pitch, if people expect that we have millions to spend they haven’t read any Swansea script for years.

I worry that until they appoint an experienced football man (eg Trevor Birch) then however much money is available won't make a difference as the recruitment strategy has not been good enough overall (for about 11 seasons). When Birch, Cooper and Scott were here - it was promising with Cooper's connections to the England U17s team. Watson himself claimed there was no process in place in 2023 which asks the question what was going on behind the scenes.

I was wondering what the difference is with other clubs Dr. We've been told that we now have one of the lowest playing budgets in the Championship. Which means that all the teams above us in the spend table have a higher budget so are spending more. Quite a few have PL parachute money but many others don't. So aren't all of them breaking P&S rules ? Cardiff for one. A few extra thousand on the gates won't make up the difference.

And i'll say it again, I don't expect a huge amount to be spent on new players.
