Do you remember Derby rolling big metal bins down the hill at us? I don't know if I made that up. |
bit of a jumbled memory being so long ago....went to derby away probably 5 or 6 times from 1973 up until 1977, including an fa cup game....
always that bloody long escorted walk from the station, and remember back then the derby police force had a reputation for giving you a whack for the least reason.
i don't remember the bins as you describe, i do remember 12 or 13 of us going through the turnstiles making our way towards the popside, and about a 100 or so derby fans giving it the biggun, until the steward opened up the gate to let them flee nearer the half way line, where they supposed to have been.
half time under the stand was always lively with both sets of fans pelting cups of hot tea and coffee at each other.
oh and carrying them bloody newspaper programmes they used to sell....the ram. | |
