Sir Peter makes his debut on 19:30 - Aug 31 by dawlishdale | An excellent performance with Woking second best all over the park. Three actually flattered them. So good to see us attacking at pace, which caused them no end of problems. Henry's goal already a contender for gots. Up the Dale. |

White shorts/white socks 6-0 We have now worn two different kit combinations at home this season - Blue/black/blue & Blue/white/white. Three different combinations away - Blue/white/white, Blue/white/blue/, Red/red/red. It will be four when we wear white shirts at Aldershot. In possibly the best ‘One For TVOS’ (actually two): When did we last wear four different kit combinations in successive away games? If ever. When did we last wear five different kit combinations in the first seven games of the season? If ever. … and a Bonus OFT: When did we last start a season with four clean sheets in the first six games?

There have been a few false dawns over the years but today gave real grounds for optimism. A definite sense of things coming together to reflect a lot of work at Platt Lane. The team spirit looks phenomenal and everyone was made up that Mitchell scored those goals.

Bonus Question Answer perhaps.... 99-00 season. Parkin's first. 4 clean sheets in first five League games. No idea on kits. Don't give a shite!

I was lucky enough to have booked this game for pre- match hospitality. I was also fortunate enough to speak to Sir Peter Ogden, his two sons and also his grandson. Forget the money and helicopters etc, they have Rochdale blood in them, no airs and graces, perfectly capable of communicating with everybody in the room and really nice people. They own the club but they are the same as us. [Post edited 31 Aug 21:33]

Good shout. Checked, it became 8 clean sheets in the opening 10 games!

Sir Peter makes his debut on 21:05 - Aug 31 with 4065 views | Sandyman | Little to add to the above superlatives. What a great day to be a Dale fan. After all the $h!t€ we've endured on and off the pitch over the years, to see that performance in front of our brilliant benefactors was a delight. Jim had the team organised perfectly, and the players ran themselves into the ground for each other. All of them excelled. They deserve all the praise they get. Thank you. UP THE DALE

I was going to mention the ref. Let the game flow and only got involved when he had to: more like him please.

Sir Peter makes his debut on 22:21 - Aug 31 with 3599 views | dalebolt | Got to disagree thought he was too lenient with wokings gamesmanship. Don’t think they knew how to tackle without two feet either. Thought the ref would get overlooked after such a magnificent performance from us but didn’t think for one second he would get praised.
Sir Peter makes his debut on 22:38 - Aug 31 with 3532 views | Barrowdale | I guess Im one of Kel (he whose opinion must be right) “usual suspects” Not had time to post earlier but here’s my twopenneth. Miles better, not pedestrian, Ferguson way better than Landsdell, much more positive. Defence collectively superb. Woking a decent outfit but not in our class today. East & Henry ran midfield. Wingers great. Dave & Mitchell poor first half but got stronger. Hendo seems to help Kairo. Big shout to Armstrong too. Different, stronger player. More of the same please coz most entertained ive been for 3 seasons.

Sir Peter makes his debut on 00:01 - Sep 1 with 3222 views | mikehunt | Wonder if EEL being out is what has helped us be less pedestrian with getting the ball forward. He is a good defender but one of the main culprits of putting his foot on the ball, by which time all our attacking players have been marked up. What a pleasure to watch today's game and see this squad/team beginning to gel.

Sir Peter makes his debut on 07:34 - Sep 1 with 2698 views | NorthernDale | Yesterday was one of the best games I have seen at Spotland for some time, we dominated the game from start to finish. It shows Sir Peter and the fans what the potential the team as this season and look more then capable of getting a playoff spot. I also like the new white away top. [Post edited 1 Sep 9:08]

Sir Peter makes his debut on 08:54 - Sep 1 with 2518 views | DaleFan7 | Yesterday was a great game and like others have said, one of the best team performances at Spotland for a long time. It shows what we can do when we play without fear and with an attacking mentality. I don't think Woking are a bad outfit but we made them look like it yesterday. A lot of the new signings performing well, Mitchell breaking his duck and for me, the best player of the season so far in Gordon. He seems to have come on a lot since last year and having TAR to the right hand side of him seems to give him confidence to both attack and defend. Play like that and any team in the division will struggle to beat us.
Sir Peter makes his debut on 09:25 - Sep 1 with 2402 views | DaleiLama | Gutted I couldn't make yesterday. Followed Twitter highlights and just watched match highlights. The Henry goal didn't disappoint, even after reading how good it was. Did SPO speak or just sing a chorus of 'up the Dale, not for sale?' From what I've read, Woking let us play which is never a good idea against us. The next challenge BJ has is to do this against teams who press us but sitting 4th currently is a wonderful start to the season after so many poor ones latterly. From being so close to an extinction event, this still all fells dreamlike.

Sir Peter makes his debut on 10:48 - Sep 1 with 2053 views | Edindale | Sounds like a great performance so well done BJ and the players. Gutted that I couldn't make it yesterday but bodes well for future home games. Much of the Woking feedback seems to accept that we outclassed them. Hope that this is the start of a winning run but we will be frustrated on occasions and will need to rely on our new team spirit to bounce back. If we are in the play off places at the end of September this sets the season up well. Hope that we can stay relatively injury free and when EEL, Gilmour and Sassi are available will have a strong squad. Based on results to date we should fear no team in this division.

East pulled all the strings and was like a man possessed and was deserved MOM. Ferguson was close to getting the MOM nod he was excellent. The Link up play between Gordon and TAR had the Woking defenders tied in knots.. Not Allarakhia's best game but he does offer width and something different. Mitchell looked a different player.. hungry, strong and great movement to get his two goals.. lets hope that is the floodgates open now for him. The pace that we played was anything but pedestrian it was a joy to see the ball being moved forward quickly and the teams movement on and off the ball. Finally a nod to Big Jim 10/10 who got this one absolutely spot on.

The same thought occurred to me We'll see if there's a difference when he returns from injury, which i can't imagine him not doing as soon as he's fit with being captain. But that's another issue... I'm inclined just to enjoy our upturn, both in terms of defensive stability and pace of moving the ball
