Leeds take 3,286 to Cardiff, we are only allowed to take 2,000, why?

Stadium capacity and internal structure to allow segregation i'd imagine.

They probably had another 1500 in the home sections.

But wouldn't the same segregation be applicable , they have history with Cardiff .

Not just this game, but with money tight everywhere, why are there restrictions on away fans (unless it is a ground that is sold to capacity) ?
When you consider how much say another 1000 fans would spend in the local area, in the ground plus match revenue, then it is very shortsighted ?

More and more clubs seem to be doing pay on the day in cash. Not us though.

we gave away fans the whole end before prem days - now we dont even give 2000.
Now our crowds have sunk dramatically this would be a way to claw back a significant

So far
Birmingham
Coventry
Bristol
Leicester
Sheffield Weds
all sold out
Southampton
Leeds
Ipswich
Plymouth
will also sell all their 1900 odd allocation.

How many £100,000s have we missed out on?

It could also be the 10% allowance for the away team, meaning it IS the capacity which affects it. It also shows what a sh*tty capacity we've got.

Nothing to do with ground capacity or away end. It is simple we only give away teams 2000 as that is our away end capacity so Cardiff only give us 2000 in return.

You have a bigger ground than us would you like more money from our fans because selling ticket for 10% of your ground capacity would give you more money, which you might benefit from? No?

Maybe so felix. But 10% is the rule I believe. With us it's 2000. With them it's over 3000. If they decide to only give us 2000 then nothing can be done about it. AFAIK.

Now if our ground held 30,000 it would be different.

Surely it's nothing todo with percentages of your stadium capacity.

Preston capacity is 23k yet they have given clubs the whole end.. that's 5000.

Mk dons have had 7 8 and 9000 away fans at their ground.

Our away end was reduced when we got to the Premier league to maximise attendances as the home demand was there. It now needs to cater for larger away support as home demand is dwindling

We get less tickets than Leeds - maybe this is becaus were a bubble trip and there isn't room in their parking compound for more buses ...

15% for Cup, 10% for League, so Cardiff have a 33,000 capacity, hence Leeds are allowed 3,286, why aren't we?

Its a minimum of 10%, hence we give 2,100, we could give more but would cause problems with segregation, for the bigger games (Leeds/Cardiff) we get a bigger home support
