Some harsh comments on Kargbo on here. Think I'm right in saying he was recruited from a Sunday team in his teens and is far from a child prodigy who has been schooled at a club since the age of 8 or 9. Additionally, I believe he has shown glimpses and was not in awe against Slavia Prague.

Yeah, I feel for the younger ones coming on among mass substitutions/disruption of the team. The only way to really judge them is if they are put in alongside 9 or 10 first teamers.
The proviso being, I wish we had 9 or 10 first teamers

How can we have accumalted so many development players with seemingly none capable of stepping up? It's an absolute shambles. Unless some really step up against Oxford and show they have something approaching a championship level standard then we can't use them this season
Even our best prospect Armstrong supposedly needs a loan at lower level. That's surely impossible given we only have Dykes. Kelman has it all to do.
"a diseased bunch of mofos if there ever was one, their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons."

The entire game is on YouTube. I watched the first 30 minutes of it last night. What with the lack of crowd noise, the spacious greenery of the landscape à la one man and his dog, and Nick London’s dulcet tones well it sent me off into a pleasant slumber. I plan to watch the middle 30 minutes this evening and hope for the same effect. Saying that what I did see I thought Trent Rendall looked composed playing alongside Jimmy Dunne and could either hoof or spray a decent ball from the back line.

My worry is that Sinclair is our best prospect. Tbh it looks like he’s our only prospect who has come through atm. Bit of a shitshow from all in charge of recruiting and scouting the youngsters in and around West London. I get the bigger clubs have the pull and promise of superstardom however there is every reason we could persuade these lads and their parents to believe they have a better chance of making it at QPR. Maybe the fact some of these bigger clubs can offer so much money needs to be looked into and maybe capped until a certain age or contract.
I know the family of a 12y/o boy who had several clubs in London after his signature. They received £100k from one of the clubs for his services. Those sorts of sums are ridiculous and put clubs like us at a massive disadvantage when looking to get the best young lads.
Maybe now with the new training ground, prospective lads and their parents may look upon us a bit more favourably. It’s a vicious circle because you need to be seen to pushing homegrown talent into the first team squad to get the whole thing looking better from the outside.

Was just about to watch the middle half-hour of Tuesday’s game. Partly out of interest and partly because watching the first half-hour yesterday helped me get to sleep. May sound sad but I’d been looking forward to this somniferous end of the day treat. So I attempt to reopen the YouTube link to find a message saying content not available - breach of Reading FC copyright or bullschit to that effect. They’ve just been given a transfer embargo, are potentially looking at another points deduction, and from a financial perspective couldn’t arrange a hand-job in an all-day brothel. Yet they’re on the ball enough to pull the video of a training game from YouTube. Enjoy your day out in Stevenage next season you prize Berkshire twunts.
