Cheers. How on earth did Uncle get a 2-year contract extension?? 🫤 That's quite a few players in 2024 who we paid money for who will potentially be out of contract.

Don't the club usually add a 1 year option in their favour onto all of the contracts, so they could extend some of the players who currently end in 2024?

yeah that may well be the case with a few of those
Contracts on 16:15 - Jan 30 with 5804 views | toboboly | I would only retain Willock out of the ones for this season. Amos just can't get on the pitch enough to warrant any more time.

Agreed with all that. Amos just not fit enough and we're better off replacing with a player who can play regularly.

Contracts on 23:02 - Jan 30 with 5366 views | ozexile | Dozzell sell 🤣. There's an old poker joke something along the lines of if you're at the table and you don't know who the Patsy is, then its you. The club is the patsy in this one. As if anyone's parting with cash for Dozzell. [Post edited 30 Jan 2023 23:02]

More or less my thoughts. Jury out on Dozzell for me, a decision to be made nearer the time. The Adomah contract situation is ridiculous. Love him, but he's clearly near the end and unlikely to feature much going forward.

There is a really naive and gullible club out there who part with cash quite easily on young players who will clearly never make it, we could flog him to them.... Oh, bllx, that's us...🫤😉 As per other comment, two years for uncle was ridiculous. At best it should have been a one plus one

Yep, that's right. | | | |
Contracts on 07:52 - Jan 31 with 5089 views | BklynRanger | I still think (total guess) the Adomah contract is likely to be less much offensive than most of the other offenders - in terms of low basic value, weighted towards number of appearances etc. Albert is an R and he probably just wants to play for us for longer than he really can - at least at the levels he, and we, would want. I know we're all fcuked off at the moment but hope that doesn't start getting waved around, it's a very small issue among several much bigger ones.
Contracts on 08:31 - Jan 31 with 5024 views | stevec | 20 players nigh on in that list and apart from one, if we could get any fee it would be relative pocket money in todays terms. Willock aside, and that’s not going too well either, I reckon it might cover two months of Directors hand outs. Hopefully the next Raheem Sterling is quietly emerging from our perennially bottom of the table under 18’s. Its all going so well.

I have no issue with Albert. No problem at all, he came in and did a job for us for the season. Rewarding him with another contract for 2 years was not very astute in my opinion.

Well, I assume he is on pitiful wages as otherwise he would not have been given two years.

Contracts on 15:33 - Mar 15 with 4331 views | Gloucs_R | Contracted players for next season GK Dieng, *Walsh LB Paal, *Niko (😫) RB *Kakay CB Dunne, Dickie, JCS CM Field, Johansen, *Dozzell AM Chair, Willock, Richards RW *Albert LW FW Dykes, *Kelman, *Sinclair I can see a few of them moving on, regardless of which division we're in. Any with * next to them are either not ready for the championship yet or are not good enough at this level. Walsh should be fine as a backup keeper. So 10 new players required if we stay in a championship? [Post edited 15 Mar 2023 16:47]

There are a few other players out on loan. Should they also be included in these lists. For example, I mentioned on another thread that I have read that Conor Masterson's contract runs out this summer. The Gills want him to sign with them.

There was a joke that at the interview, we told Dozzell we'd pay him what he's worth. He said he wanted more than that.
