Ingmar Bergman 21:06 - Sep 20 with 3017 views | BrianMcCarthy | To the best of my knowledge I have never sat down to watch an Ingmar Bergman film. They look so unremittingly glum, but on the other hand the stills always look so artistic. Am I missing anything?

Potentially glum but matching wits with the Grim Reaper in a game of chess while heading home from the Crusades and meeting a circus on the way gives it several dimensions. Truly a classic.
