Bees v Hoops match thread 10:58 - Nov 27 with 46056 viewsdublinr

Let me start this one.

I'm sitting by the sea in Dun Laoghaire in beautiful sunshine - and there's no wind. THAT NEVER HAPPENS.

Today is going to be a day of miracles. Things that never happen are happening. We will win on the telly. We will win a London derby. We are going to beat Brentford.

Bees 2 Rs 3

First time I’ve properly seen Willock and like the look of him.

Yep, and he still bizarrely feels like he’s a half step off the paces.... going to be a good player

Well not a classic but decent game. Typical Rangers give away a shocker score a worldly
I think we have been the better team, very poor from Brentford but I think that is down to us playing well
That front 4 of ours looks like it will be very good the more they play together
Chair and LTC quiet. Dykes having his best game by far
The defence looks good and Tony not had a great deal of change from them
Good half for us

At HT more than pleased with our performance.
Brilliant goal BOS run-cross-Dykes-nice timing to score.
Dykes should have made it 2-1 - clear chance - at least should have been on target.
But I'll take 1-1.
Just hope we can maintain that energy and intensity.
Will Willock do more than 60?
And Dickie makes a big difference in defence.
Nice slick moving from all the Rangers players.
Real (!) QPR.
It's whether we can keep this standard for the full 90.
Come on U.R's

Best half from Dykes by a mile. Took the goal superbly, shame about the shank before half time though.

I still think they're a threat. Dykes has been very good in one half but Barbet has been equally good in the other, so they have been a threat clearly.

Mbeumo a huge problem.

Good half that - well played lads. Brentford don’t look like the team of the last 2/3 years anymore. Let’s win this

Yeah not as fearsome but credit where credit's due. We've done well a nice balanced performance from us

So far they have been the best team we have played all day.

The grass is always greener.

After the first goal I thought here we go.

After we scored we've been matching them.

That was our good half , usually only ever play well in half’s . Bees normally tear us to pieces but this should be 2-1 against 10 men

Half expecting Brentford to score within the first 10-15 minutes. Really have to hold steady and go from there.

Yes agree, Barbet & Dykes have been our stand out players. Willock, Carroll & Dickie also playing very well.

Good game Marcondes and Dykes missed great chances couldn’t have moaned had red card been produced although I’ve seen nothing given for that.Ref is piss poor for both sides.Could go either way.

Good pace to our play in big spells of that half, Willock is a lovely player with the right amount of direct play.
Him, Chair and Dykes are going to be a good partnership, especially if we can keep Bright for the whole season.
Fingers crossed we can keep this up now as I'm sure Brentford could score any time we drop our guard, will be a very intense 2nd half and fitness will be important

Edit
And fitness levels very relevant considering should be playing against 10 men

Good analysis.

We have to hold firm in this half. If we go gung-ho they'll continue to hit us on the counter, and we will see our subs on from 60-70. I'd prefer to be breaking with subs on the pitch away from home than defending breaks with subs.

Agree. Some refs would have bottled it and not given it, but once he gave the foul it should have definitely been a red as clear goal scoring opportunity and outside the area so no penalty.
