Every time Celtic won the league you’d have trampie, Kilkenny or the other one making a thread up on it without fail

You won't have me supporting either of the old firm domestically, I always want the smaller teams up there to beat them.

What is the link between sections of our support and Rangers then?

No other random teams have a thread on the forum because they won a game.

Doubt many other clubs (let alone Welsh ones) have threads dedicated to a random Scottish team.

Quite right.

Nobody is interested in The The Rangers.

Fecking pub league lets be honest ....

It's pathetic isn't it sweetheart, they should all grow up xx

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

I have a soft spot for Queens Park Fc. They were amateur until last year, but their home ground is Hamden Park. Often playing in front of a few hundred people.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

You don’t have to contribute to a topic if it doesn’t interest you.

I’d imagine Rangers (& Celtic) are topics on football forums up & down the land.

But our fans affiliation to other seemingly random clubs does interest me. That why I enquired.

Other club's forums may have a thread on the derby game itself maybe which was today (this thread was obviously started a while ago) but just a thread about Rangers? I doubt it. And if they do, why?

We've heard what's apparently not the reason behind it.

But what are the reasons for the curiosity with them?

For me it stems from the 90s when Gazza was up there

Same as Swans fans who have Man Utd / Liverpool as their second team.

But for some reason, the ones with second jock teams think it's different to the Utd / Lfc fans.

I had a cracking Rangers jersey when i was about 15, half red half white, lovely it was.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

A lot of the glory hunting that is too frequent in South Wales though is because the premier league and especially the big clubs are shoved down our throats a lot&it's just the done thing for kids to latch onto one of them because they're always on tv&its cool to do so.

This is very different to the Scottish clubs though. It's only relatively recently where the old firm's games are regularly televised (Still nowhere near as much as say Man U).

Disagree regarding it being a recent thing.

Used to see more Rangers / Celtic jerseys around in the 80's & 90's than what you do now.

You never see Hearts or Hibs being worn around the place either.

I agree with you there me and the old man both had Rangers Managers coats in the 90s and we even wore them down the vetch, funnily enough no one ever questioned him

I think it’s a great success story for a new club to rise from the bottom league and challenge for their first major honour.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Yeah I can't imagine them queuing up to say anything to him Similarly, I've never seen or heard of anyone going onto Chilli at the football either.

Is it really? They had a larger budget in the bottom division than some SPL clubs!

Ok then, seemingly some more clues here...

These last few comments would suggest that a certain type or section of our fanbase seems to be attracted to Rangers?
