Cummings needs to resign. His arguments were laughable. Watching BJ tonight I am cringing that this inept knob is our PM. I hope Keir will tear him apart on Wednesday's PMQs for defending this privileged cnt that feels he is better than everybody else.

That's it in a nutshell.

Did Boris actually condone driving to local attractions/beauty spots during lockdown?

He refused to answer anything. Shambolic

Should have asked him this afternoon if his wife thought it was a regular thing having too many cummins in the car ?

Never ceases to amaze me how many politicians lie and spin to deflect an accusation instead of just telling the truth. If they'd been honest upfront about it then half of this outrage would have nowhere to go. Instead they've just fuelled the fire.

Both of them need to be candidates for removal just for sheer f*cking stupidity.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Strategy is obvious. Cummings go out and spout any old bollocks to explain what’s provable and deny anything that isn’t . The rest, ‘he’s given a full explanation, time to move on’. Handjob and Raab are already at it the pair of snivelling worms.

Apparently Cumming’s wife can drive too. What I don’t understand is why the questions carry any pretence that anyone believes such a pile of shite. First question to Johnson should have been ‘are you telling us PM that you are saying that you really believe that pile of nonsense Mr Cummings just gave us?’ Then just all laugh. Don’t pick little holes in it as it is clearly total bollocks, just treat it with the contempt they are showing us.

The first question to Cummings should have been ‘Is that it, 24 hours to come up with that’? If he said yes, just say ‘preposterous’, all of them, one after another. One word each ‘Ridiculous’, ‘Jackanory’, ‘pathetic’, ‘outrageous’ etc. No questions. let Social media pick at the bones. Just simply give them no credibility. Actually maybe first of all just get him to reconfirm he deliberately broke the law and endangered a child by his own admission.

Stop trying to ‘prove’ a ludicrous tale wrong, just don’t take it seriously.

This blows over, and it probably will, we are in a dictatorship run by an unelected psychopath through an elected sociopath. With Gove and Raab in the wings.

How very spiffing.

Of course it isn't right that this family home is subject to threats. Awfully convenient as a means for his supporters to try and shift the focus of the story, while also possibly generating some sympathy for him though...

Of course it’s not right that they are.

And as Robert Peston just pointed out, in full lockdown, as we were when he drove to see his Mum for her birthday, it’s unlikely to be right that it was. Since no one was allowed anywhere.

Lawyers have been tweeting that they often see clients weave a story around the facts that they know can be proven. They found his account eerily familiar.

Anyone enquire if he had a nanny or au pair who could have looked after the child in a London?

Not seen the presser, but would have imagined he’d have been prepping this all of yesterday and today. From what I have previously seen, some of these journo’s are shocked. The Beeb and other big channels should send a couple of their regional hacks so as we can get some decent questions asked.

Sadly parliament is in recess this week so no PMQs.

Honest question here.

Can anyone honestly say that they've stuck to the regulations of the lockdown 100%? No recriminations if not.

I certainly haven't.

After we've heard what he has to say, and because I've already made my mind up, the best place for him is Rackhams' Cay with Calico Jack.

I've watched him live and I can't get past the thought that he's lying. It's his body language. He doesn't sound honest, he's just reading a script.

Even if he 100% telling the truth isn't it irrelevant now, the perception is that he's said one thing and done another, that he broke the rules that he says he pushed for.
He drove over 200 miles with a sick person in the car without stopping, went for a drive to see if he was fit to drive, stopped and got out miles away from home, isn't that in itself against the rules?

WTF?! Whether he's lying or telling the truth is not the issue. The truth is bad enough.

What was quite funny was his whole lack of contrition, keeping up his scruffy schtick and scribbling himself a little hit list when 'journalists' were asking their questions.

He really doesn't give a flying f*ck and Johnson has played a blinder because he no longer has to answer questions on the matter and only has to refer to the explanation Cummings has given in person.

The people who have lost their jobs and been forced to apologise should be suing the government now, and anyone who has to pay fines should refuse to pay. A decent press could crucify them.

There is no PMQs, another f*cking recess. Plus they are desperately trying to rig Parliament so only 50 can be present and no dial in I think I read somewhere? They are desperate to shore the shambling moron up.

Yes.

I felt that as someone who was essentially useless, it was the only thing I could do to help those who were risking their lives for me and everyone around me.

But it’s immaterial. As no one here wrote the regulations in the first place.

Edited to add: btw, I know of no one in my family or close friends that hasn’t. Genuinely. No one.

Yeah parliament voted last week not to allow remote access after this recess. So the only ones allowed in will be the few dozen they can have in there while maintaining social distancing.

The most pertinent question anyone can ask this stupid oaf is this.

Do you think your actions flys in the face of every family that is mourning a loved one that has succumbed to coronavirus, bearing in mind you took no notice of your own advice for personal reasons?

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

I have, as I’m not taking any risk until I see what’s happening, and I’m actually happy to be isolated. I think Clase and I have an inbuilt advantage there in lockdownability.

Oh I did go to Argos in Newport yesterday to buy a hair trimmer at non extortionate prices, but my instinct was that it was an essential journey, as I have to look my best on Zoom. Any narcissist would have done the same, so I’m sure Boris would back me there.

I didn’t see all of it, so perhaps there were sections where he came across worse. I don’t doubt he may not have been completely honest in his recollections, but don’t think he’s covering up a crime. The Prince on the other hand...

The story itself doesn’t interest me at all, other than as yet another example of the media whipping up the populace into a frenzy. It cannot be right that his family home is subject to threats.

Shit.
