Not A Bubble, but not far off. 07:23 - Jul 25 with 12196 viewstaffpunk

After a meeting yesterday, it has been decided that the Derby at The Liberty will not be a full 'Bubble' trip. Cardiff fans will have to meet at Felindre to collect their tickets, and will be escorted to the ground from there.

No I don’t think that, thanks. Not every car obviously no, but what would the point of some of them going into Swansea or Wind Street in 3s and 4s? Wind Street will be crawling with police.

With this voucher exchange system Neath and Port Talbot would be the places where it might go bonkers before and after the match.

Because that’s how you get a load of people somewhere that they “shouldn’t” be, without being picked up. They won’t go to Wind St, they’d go somewhere a little more discreet, if they’ve got anything about them.

You’ve always been able to swap pleasantries with each other in Neath anyway, bubble or not.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

SWEP have never got policing right when there has been a threat of trouble.
It's either a case of over-egging the overtime or not knowing the geography.

See what you did there ...
Two steps forward then three back.

As far as I'm aware John Burgum ( RIP ) and co have never policed a football match.

They will not be allowed into Swansea to cause chaos the main arteries will be watched. The railways will be watched with no Away supporters allowed to travel full stop and especially into Swansea.

How do they know I'm not a Bassey (fuk I feel sick even writing that) travelling down the M4 or train from Pencoed?

Cant imagine them stopping everyone to ask them to show their season ticket.

Agreed, they haven't been as inventive as the jack's have been in recent decades but even thickos like Anus will be ab!e to conjure up something ( usually ending up behind a row of coppers shouting abuse )

OK I've changed it.

After doing a bit more digging, it appears they’ve still got to travel on official coaches to get to Felindre. That doesn’t stop fans travelling down for a “pint” though, so could still prove to be a lively old day.

Why would they send say 40 buses to just pick them up from a M4 jcn near the ground?

Makes more sense just to have them all coached in from CCS.

From what I understand, they will be able to make their way to the RDV point where they will receive their ticket and then be bussed in from there. So they won't be able to make their own way to the stadium.

Correct.

They are going to need to build that Park Way Station in Felindre a bit quick. Get Nick Knowles on the case.

Seriously they will be able to travel from anywhere they like/live but as soon as they reach Felindre they will be bubbled. So Coaches will be able to come straight down from the Valleys to Felindre and then they will be bubble wrapped to the ground. Cars will be parked up at Felindre and those supporters will then be put on Park and Ride buses. Quite straight forward really.

Again correct. I can't see why people are making a fuss, it all makes perfect sense. The KO time will be 12/1230, the chances of trouble are just about nil.

There’s nothing to wreck on that Felindre site anyway. They might just make the potholes bigger and if it rains it floods so they’ll definitely be getting wet. And they’re not keen on that remember, bad memories.

Aye, unless people want to throw bricks at Coaches under a massive OB escort from Felindre to The Liberty? The RV time will be something silly like 2 hours before KO, then the coaches will be held in your car park for well over an hour after the game, got absolutely no intention of going.

Your post doesn't mention them having to use official coaches to get to Felindre.

That makes a massive difference to them being able to use cars or trains.

How would you get a train there? Seems pretty obvious to me the vast majority would get coaches there and the rest would drive.

They then get bussed in a convoy from there to the ground and back.

Not sure why everyone is getting so wound up about it as the only real change is the buses to the ground set off from there instead of from Cardiff.
