Lord Hereford's knob has always made a big impact on me.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Mount Rushmore is pretty spectacular.
Devil’s tower
The crazy horse memorial (still in construction though)
All of Venice - Rialto bridge especially. Also the palace is stunning inside, crossing the bridge of sighs.
Rome - colosseum, Trevi fountain etc
The Pyramids - the Sphinx is amazing to walk around.
Alcatraz is very eerie to visit.
Niagra falls
Grand Canyon is spectacular. Also Las Vegas is something to experience!
Lucky to have visited the top of the old WTC in NY too.
The Lincoln memorial, Washington memorial, Capitol building in Washington. Visiting the inside of the Whitehouse was a bit weird too.

I wasn't particularly impressed y Niagra Falls and The Great Barrier Reef was full of obnoxious people. The Northern Lights and the geysers in Iceland are really something though. I tend to prefer manmade sights - what a civilisation can do amazes me more than the random geological stuff, but I'd agree with Lohengrin about Mametz Wood - the best of nature with the worst of mankind, sort of.

Also, though some might think posters are merely boasting in this thread, I prefer to think that people are trying to inspire readers, rather than try to show off.

Been lucky enough to travel to more than 70 countries over the years and seen many amazing things, but most jaw-dropping was this year seeing humpback whales close up off Cape Verde breaching the water. Just wow.

Oh,..Dave, what's occuring?

For me it was swimming, within arms reach, with Whale Sharks off the coast of Mexico. Until you’re up close and personal with them you cannot understand just the size of these magnificent creatures. Again , awesome .
Places...
Grand Canyon, Pyramids and Sphinx, New York, and Petra.

Admire your bollox swimming with those things, first time one came along our small catamaran I sht myself was like seeing a prehistoric monster was massive!

Been to those others too and all amazing although Petra a slight disappointment for me, the temple wasn’t as large as I expected, but funnily enough the valley area behind it with all the caves in the mountain sides was like a scene from a movie.

Loads of amazing stuff out there, why anyone wouldn’t want to travel if they can I just don’t get

I took this photo and found it hard to believe that the cliff face was carved into what we see about 2000 years ago. Apparently they used ropes to descend and carve as they were lowered. 🙌
No health and safety in those days.

Quite surprised people have chosen the coluseum in Rome. Thought it was a tad sh*te. If anything St Peter's was more impressive. Especially the view from the top.

Other than that, the grand canyon is definitely up there.

As someone has already said, I never got tired walking up the NB ramp for an evening game. Whether it's rose tinted glasses I don't know but just don't get the same feeling at the Liberty.
