I was thinking the same thing. I know if it’s a long shot but if indeed HJ means what’s he’s said a few time about getting back to the footballing principles that got us here then he’s one of only a few. BR won’t as he (HJ) messed that possibility up two summers ago.

It's probably not even that long a shot. The way those two sneaky c*nts work odds are the deal has been stitched up behind Carvalhal's back for months.

Next season's gaffer on 19:38 - May 6 with 3475 views | Wingstandwood | IMO...There ain't arf going to be some behind the scenes recriminations from the Yanks after this season is over relegated or not! I reckon even if we stay up gaffer is on his way out! Millions upon millions of Pounds have again wasted on yet more horrendous signings and the Yanks have been witness to yet another relegation battle, now that isn't something hedge fund investors tend to go for. You know the future potential or risk of a drastic share value slump because of a future profit warning ready to pounce from the shadows if relegated. I reckon (serves their own right!) the Yanks must be rather p#ssed of with JTAK myth Jenkins and his merry gang of other ruinous Trojan-horse impostors. I wonder if the Yanks (to coin an American term) want to "Bust some ass"???????

Next season's gaffer on 20:13 - May 6 with 3307 views | icecoldjack | I've lost a bit of faith in Carlos myself so wouldn't be adverse to a fresh appointment as long as its a coach of note. There were certain games like against WBA and yesterday's against the cherries that we needed to show no fear and be positive from the get go, I felt we looked tense even though the game was there for us to win with 2 more shots later if we failed . I think he's bottled it and that's transferring to the players, what happened to him telling us that he would be angry if players didn't try and do something on the ball ? Yet more safe sideways passing then a pass back to our defenders to hoof it the forwards.

The yanks couldnt give a t0ss about the sellouts Its all business to them, they bought a PL team on the cheap knowing they will make money for the 28 or so 'investors' and if we go down they will stay for 3 years and strip away the parachute payments Win/Win situation for them Ps thanks to the sellouts for helping put us in this position Btw even if we stay up it will be the same sheeite next season, but i for one will still be watching as many games as possible STID

Averse not adverse. Common mistake. Other than that, agreed. And the funny analogies have stopped. No-one's laughing anymore. [Post edited 6 May 2018 21:14]

Next season's gaffer on 21:06 - May 6 with 3093 views | TheKirkyLife | Knowing our lot Carlos will get a fresh deal whatever. I'm in agreement with a lot of the posters here I've lost a lot of faith in him. Done exactly what the Wednesday fans said he would do but in half the time. I don't even know who would want to come to us. I don't want to think about the candidates the Yanks would have lined up. For me one thing is crucial - Jenkins needs to go. I don't even care about manager as long as that happens.

""Although I cannot promise or predict the future, I can guarantee one thing - the current board of directors will always fight, as we have done over the last 12 years, to work together as one with the Supporters Trust to make 100% sure that Swansea City football club remains the number one priority in all our thoughts and in every decision we make." | Poll: | Huw Jenkins |

Next season's gaffer on 23:03 - May 6 with 2713 views | majorraglan | The decision needs to be made almost straight after the last game as whoever gets the gig will need time to prepare the ground for next season. I think a major overhaul of the squad will be required, but the first consideration has to be which League the club is in. If the club retains its Premier League status, then I think that CC could get the gig with a promise that he can bring in players who will provide more of a cutting edge. Roberto Martinez could be a shout, but I don’t think he would be able to forge a defence that would be strong enough. If the club goes down, in the absence of having millions and millions at its disposal to bring quality players, I think the club could go for a tried and tested manager like Cardiff have done. I am not saying these would be my choices but names could include Mick McCarthy, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva and Ian Holloway. Personally, I would look at getting a good manager from Spain and giving him the time and support to rebuild. Cameron Toshack has done a good job in the academy, but I think it’s a big step up and if I were the American owners I would want to se the parachute payments to support a promotion campaign. It will be interesting to see who comes through the play offs, Fulham play nice football but I wouldn’t bet against Tony Pulis and Boro.
Next season's gaffer on 23:11 - May 6 with 2684 views | monmouth | If we stay up and Fulham stay down we should move to get their manager and some of their players, but I think he might do better, Everton say. if the Sheffield Weds views are anything to go by then Carvalhal likes slow midfield players and no pace in the team. How splendid. Groundhog Day, gone my Christmas then.

surely the players know it's their job to create chances and score goals? think carlos is getting too much of the blame. and don't always buy the arguments that this is all down to how he sets up. there are 11 highly paid professional players out there who should know that you need to score goals to have a chance. he may not be the brilliant manager that some thought, but he's also not out on the pitch trying to score goals. much of the blame goes to the players

His teams tend to score a ton of goals, yet concede many as well.. imho Watford are a bunch of spoiled w@nkers for letting him go because of a bad run. But most importantly..We have to strengthen the bloody squad.....
