Name the true culprits. That'll save the cost of inquiries, oh font of all wisdom.
When exactly have I "slagged off the victims"?
You really are an odious cvnt, attributing vile claims like that towards others.
Are you saying that none of those protesters were residents? At least one man had friends who'd perished.
And I'm the odious one?
You seem oblivious to the scale of this entirely preventable disaster. The facts, described by both eye witnesses and experts and backed up by actual footage on the news just now shows cladding going up like a Roman candle.
What else does anyone need to know. The inquest (a public inquiry is completely unsuitable and inappropriate) will reveal WHY flammable cladding was allowed to be used.
There lies the problem. If regulations allowed it, who made them.

I've never said none of the protestors were residents.
There's zero chance ALL of the protestors were residents - christ, look at the BBC footage. Socialist Worker banners were clearly noticeable.
Residents have every right to be angry, confused, hurt. what is hurting their legitimate anger is other groups latching onto any protests for their own agendas.
Right now, calm heads are needed. It's understandable residents want answers right now - it doesn't work that way. No-one has a magic single answer what can give them closure via the truth. Full inquiries are absolutely needed. Discovery of what really happened needs to happen - cladding right now seems to be the obvious reason; residents also mentioned gas pipes had been moved. The Guardian live coverage cited a resident as saying there had been a smell since the pipes were worked on. If that is true, then there could well be a "perfect storm" of events, of which cladding is but one element.

people are rightly peeved due to the obvious lack of justice and fairness going on. sure people want answers and want them yesterday. Shame on Maybot and how she's handled this fall out she'd avoided the people caught right in the middle of this and shown them nothing but utter contempt. the cladding cost more than the 5 million shes pledged - damn they've raised more already off their own backs. the council is clearly in a shambles and looking for leadership whilst they're all out to look after number 1 and pass the buck.
I can understand why people take to the streets when they are getting no justice - nobody seems to be coordinating any meaningful help and all the while the Queen calls by fo r20 minutes whist she has her council house tarted up for hundreds and hundreds of millions of pounds - there wont be any cladding involved there.
enough is enough and people have reached austerity rock bottom and the angry mob will let off steam and show those in power that by not listening and being so detached is not helpful in any way whatsoever.

In your opinion.
As things progress, stoked by the likes of Jones and Lammy I've no doubt riots will occur. As previous riots have tended to show, it's less the case of caring about the original issue and more about liking to smash sh*t up. Coz that's getting back at the man, right?
It's a time for calm heads. The appropriate inquiries are needed to apportion blame where blame is needed, to learn lessons for the future.
Lammy and Jones want mobs to riot. Jones has called for "civil disobedience". Poor were targetted by those evil Troy toffs. That's the agenda; the truth matters not one iota to either of them.
This tragedy has already been politicised, it's been politicised by members of Labour, by Labour supporters and by the "new media" who back Corbyn, giving out the "truth" msm don't. Like Squawkbox with the ridiculous "D notice" claim.
David Lammy lost a friend in this diabolical incident.
And you are accusing him of wanting to start riots because it suits his political aims??? You're really excelling yourself tonight. If people aren't allowed to be extremely upset by the loss of , maybe , a couple of hundred neighbours, burned or asphyxiated to death then when are they?
And how dare you use the "learn the lessons" throwaway line. This has happened time and again but never to this extent (2009 for one) You talk about it like it was a works accident.
The truth as I mentioned in my previous post has become obvious. What other explanation to contradict the experts and witnesses are you offering then?
Get off our boards please.

Your last paragraph sums up the situation perfectly HC
I'd like to think how bluey would react if it was one of his family or friends that were a victim

I saw this earlier, the secret barrister tagged this guy in.
3. Key thing to understand: both inquests and public inquiries are independent from government. Both likely to be chaired by senior judge.

I'm not offering any explanation. I'm saying rather than immediately guess, I'd rather wait for the experts to fully investigate rather than jump to conclusion.

Don't be silly. The riots will have happened without the fire because Bluey said Labour wants disorder on the streets. And yes, he is a c*nt.

Bullshit, Darren. You jump onto anything - anything - regarding people you've fallen out with / don't like anymore. You butt in, waffling about bans acting like Berty Big Bollocks. You offer nothing of any note, nothing of any value whatsoever. A parasite without any real redeeming value.

So go on, order the Mods to ban me.
You're losing the plot you don't have to be saying the things you are.
I haven't fallen out with you (that I know of) and I do like you, you're better than this though.

Take your fingers out of your ears. You aren't offering an alternative explanation because it's bleedin obvious there isn't one. You are dishonouring dead people and their entire community because they've got the cheek not to keep calm. In THESE circumstances.
I don't know what you think you're achieving with this ludicrous denial stance you've adopted. Ban him mods FFS

I'm saying I don't know enough, nor do you. Cladding certainly seems to be the reason it spread so damn quickly.
The residents and their families, friends as I've said have every right to be upset, answer, want answers. What they don't need is the faux angst of organisations like Socialist Worker jumping on the bandwagon,.

It appears that neither May nor Corbyn voted.
One thing that is certain though Darran, is that May's failure to meet residents is unfathomably shocking.
I read a comment yesterday that said something like, 'however much she was hated, there is zero doubt that Thatcher would have met the people and looked them in the eye, as she was never cowed into running away' and I think that's very true.
May, in my mind, really has to go now. Her fear of the people has left her unable to act as a human being, and that's simply not sustainable. On the flip side, the people that are stoking up hatred towards an individual for political point scoring need a smacking as well. If they are not careful, within a matter of days, the whole area is going to see full scale riots, and that is the last thing these residents need.
May's been horrendous throughout the whole thing, not to mention her awful performance generally before and since the election. Andrea Leadsom had to do what May should have done yesterday and fronted up to face questions from angry residents (and to be fair she did a decent job if it). May's every appearance has been as tightly controlled and sheltered from any potential criticism as any of her joke appearances during the campaign. It doesn't help of course that we don't yet know if we have a viable government given the shambles that is the Queen's Speech. They tried to palm the press off with a couple of junior ministers who had only just taken up the brief and were understandably clueless the other day. Her new chief of staff was housing minister until he lost his seat last Thursday and he almost literally ran away from a Sky News journo yesterday when they started asking him difficult questions. Her position is increasingly untenable and her "government" looks less legitimate with each h passing, shambolic day

Talking to a civil engineer today, Bluey, and he was of the opinion that the cladding and insulation installed by Kensington and Chelsea Council were done on the basis of energy efficiency, in an attempt to help meet whatever 'green' targets they had been set. They wouldn't have seen them as a cheaper option. Hands-up, I know nothing about planning regs, nothing about how council planning departments operate but on the face of it that sounds eminently reasonable to me.
As regards today's protest at Kensington Town Hall of course you're right, without question you're right. Every red scumbag in the vicinity would have descended on the protest like so many howlin' jackals in the hope of turning an already volatile situation into one of outright violence.Anybody who thinks they were there out of concern for families made homeless or to comfort the bereaved is living in cloud cuckoo-cuckoo land. They were there looking to politicise, to radicalise unfortunate people already in a state of raw, heightened emotion.
Fckin' parasites...
