NORWICH IMPLOSTION on 14:35 - May 17 by aston_hoop | Didn't we get relegated from the Premiership just over a year ago and then put under considerable financial strain? If so, I think that would safely rule us out of getting Redmond and Naismith. Good to see them implode though, never really liked them for some reason. Always seem to have been better than us even when they were considerably worse than us. If that makes sense. Well...I'm not sure it does. |
1976 is reason good enough not to like them.

NORWICH IMPLOSTION on 09:53 - May 19 with 2139 views | extratimeR | I can appreciate some people might view this as extreme, but perhaps the way forward for Norwich surely would be to concrete over the pitch, tear down the stands, and continue the club as a permanent car boot sale. With a statue of a Linesman with his flag up at the entrance gates. Wishing them all the best for the future.

NORWICH IMPLOSTION on 16:35 - May 17 by Match82 | "Complaining that Norwich have 'done a Burnley' when they would have been better off coughing up for new players" Jesus Christ, shows how deluded some fans are. God forbid they secure their long term future while building a club that the fans can be proud of AND win promotion back to the premier league (winning the division in the process) |
The fact is that not everybody is willing to accept 'doing a Burnley'. A lot of fans will wonder why they can't do a Watford, Swansea, Bournemouth, Southampton, and dare I say it, a Leicester. I am not saying it's right, but that is the perception.

His maiming of Frank Clarke on the Tuesday before the FA Cup 6th round match against C****** had a major bearing on our defeat! For me, he is reason number one!

I think that applies to the players as well. Players want premier league football it's where they earn the big bucks. I think it takes a lot to manage the players expectations. Sean Dyche is a top manager and the players seem to play for him and bought into the Burnley way of doing things. When we first got relegated we just threw money at the squad. We again ended up with a load of mercenary's who didn't want to be here when the going got tough and when we got relegated the 2nd time. We've gone back to the drawing board now so hopefully we're building a squad that has bought into the managers philosophy and are better prepared if we do ever get promoted again. And I suppose it crucially only all works if the chairmans expectations are realistic as well.
