He is too close to the bank rolling unions. As demonstrated when he "forgot to mention" those difficult issues at the Labour conference which he thought they wouldn't want to hear. The reality is that Labour should be well ahead at this stage of the electoral cycle and would certainly have a decent lead if they had a more credible leader

Today Cameron is telling us that we're all on the brink of another recession. What happened to 'we've turned it round and everything's marvellous'? Tory scaremongering because mugs think the economy is safer in their hands. Electioneering of the worst kind.
Ed Milliband on 13:23 - Nov 17 with 1674 views | OdinsRaven | to be fair he was referring to a global recession. Not much he can do about that is there? Same way Liebour couldn't stop the last one. The difference being liebour had already spent all the money and sold the gold when times are good so we had no savings to ride out the last one. At least Tory Govts try to cut waste so we aren't as decrepid through the tough times

The Tories said the 2008 recession was all Labour, no mention of global issues. Make your mind up.

What does amuse me is the unlikely coupling of Ed Balls and his missus. She always has a face like a smacked arse whilst he can never speak without smirking. The odd couple for sure.

Can't you read? I said neither party could avoid the recessions if they are global. Its a fact of life they will still blame each other as that's politics. So why are you asking me to make my mind up when I've clearly stated my opinion in my post? However the key for me is which party responds to the vent and plans for getting through the event and in my opinion the conservatives are 10 times better at this than liebour who spend all their time in office spending as much as they can knowing full well when they get voted out they leave nothing left for anyone else to work with. The Tories then spend the next 5 years trying to sort out the mess The thing about socialists is they are very good at spending other peoples money! Any fool an do that!

Not sure a bloke who can't eat a sandwich is the right man to be running the country - I get the feeling he's adopting the 'say as little as I can and I'll get in by default' style of politics!

I don't dislike the man at all, but politics is like the Xfactor these days, and he doesn't have that. It's ridiculous that we make part of our selection process based on something so superficial, but we do. It wouldn't deter me from voting for Labour, if that ends up being my preference, but it will deter some. Shame, they backed the wrong horse I think.

Mylene Klass doesn't seem to like his policies, I don't think that was personal. But, as you say LaLa, it would be a shame if a bacon sandwich was to be the be all and end all of the like or dislike of a man. Could the bacon bap be Ed's Donkey Jacket or fall in the sea, now there's a thought.

Ed Milliband on 10:55 - Nov 20 by Lala | Ah - the donkey jacket, you see Michael Foot to me was adorable, but I was too young to vote then. His quirks would not have put me off, or the jacket.....but obviously it did for some. [Post edited 20 Nov 2014 10:58]

Forgotten the Donkey Jacket, how appallingly shallow the media were even then. One of Parliament's last great orators, he would be hopeless in our 30 second soundbite world, he could talk an issue through start to finish. A great admirer of the man, even if he was too left wing for me. Any suggestions for the last politician whose integrity you admired, despite disagreeing with their politics? Douglas Hurd for me.
