It's only the first game.. but I bet the Cardiff forums are a lark right now. Aside from maybe a ten or fifteen minute surge near the middle of the first half, it was quite abysmal. I suppose they spent all that money on strikers, without balancing the rest of the pitch.
I was disappointed with the rovers. it was their game to win. But Championships league... so it can be expected.
Poor Ole Gunnar though... I have a feeling its going to feel like a looooooong season. Or shorter than expected.

In all the years I've followed football I don't think I've ever known a manager, so not cut out to be a manager (If that makes sense).
I'm not a Swans fan who will be bloody minded and be anti Cardiff, regardless. I thought Malky was a good manager, certainly at Championship level and did a good job in the Prem but was ultimately out of his depth.
OGS though, just aint got it. I'm delighted as I think and hope that under his stewardship they will stay in the Championship, whereas if they'd recruited a more suitable manager would probably have gone straight back up.
Who knows he might do a brilliant job, in my opinion though the guy is nowehere near cut out to be a manager, to a point that i'm not sure if he's all there. His demeanor etc, uterly cringeworthy. |  |

I dunno, they seem to be neither one thing or the other under Ole, but it looks to me that he is going to try and be more pragmatic in this division. Defenders wern't fooking about they were banging it up to Jones or passing it to the game for him to bang up to Jones.

Watched some of the first half and thought for a first game it was quite fast with both teams going for it. Early days to tell how it’ll go though. I’m shocked with the players they’ve sold on that they are favourites to go up. I suppose it’s because they kept Marshall who single handed kept them from certain relegation by Christmas time. Surprised they managed to keep hold of him tbh, I wouldn’t have minded seeing him as a replacement for Vorm.

That Cardiff midfield is horrendous... no control or composure there at all. They could have had Ronaldo up front and he'd look poor playing with that midfield.

Was thinking this last season, but watching the game yesterday confirmed it! He was the last person to leave the pitch and 10 mins later he was out again giving an interview. Almost felt to me he didn't want to be in the dressing room.
Got a feeling they're gonna struggle this season with Ole...

Typical of you lot, well bar for one of you anyway. 
The three relegated sides played away over the week end, two lost one drew, which wasn't pretty i admit but this league is not pretty, it's about grinding out results, that's how we won this league two seasons ago.
As you lot know i'm not bitter and twisted like most of you but tough start for you lot next week, in fact it's the same start as last season ain't it? | | | |
