I'm not giving anyone high scores here because there weren't actually stand out performances. But what was noticeable was how committed everyone was, and how much they worked for each other and geeeeed each other up. Dykes off the pace, but so much credit to him for being available. Ainsworth has done some masterful psychological work on them over the last week. He gets a 9 for this. (idea: manager ratings?)

Same as Dannyblue no high scores. 6's across the board but a 7 for Field and the match rating. Fun rating probably MOM at 8!

Lively encounter and enjoyable to watch, world away from the dross of recent months. Game was played at a high tempo from the off and that never really let up. The atmosphere was electric and the fans were superb given what's gone on this season. GA changed the team set up and shape to what of us had been asking for for sometime, moving Field into a back 3 was potentially quite a risk considering his last run out there away at Forest many moons ago was a bit of a disaster, but Field has grown so much as a player since then and it worked very well. The huge gaps in our back line and midfield were no longer there, Rob Dickie looked like a big hairy monkey had been removed from his back and all of a sudden we had a defence again. We played with passion, desire and drive, every player put a shift in and it was wonderful to see the two young wing backs Drewe and Kakay play so well going forward and defending. At times in the first half I thought we were going to over run a Watford side that simply was not ready for our pressing and determination, for all their pretty football they could not handle the direct fast style we bought to the game. There was a period in the second half where they had some decent possession for a while but they never really threatened our goal and we always looked dangerous on the counter attack. So good to see Lyndon back and he did what he always does, worked his arse off, we've really missed him. Can't fault any of them for that performance, for me Chris Martin was brilliant, led by example as Captain, him and Dykes together terrorised the Watford back line and at times he was a complete bastard which is exactly what we need. I'm actually looking forward to Blackpool now.

I thought that Field and Drewe were outstanding. Everyone else did their jobs well. I was a bit concerned when Lyndon was taken off to rest him, hopefully, for Tuesday but we came through relatively easily.

I hope that we will have the legs and stamina to go again on Tuesday, another one or two returning would be a help and Stef should be fit enough to start.

Loved the new-found aggression and attacking from the off. I also think it was a masterstroke from Gaz giving the armband to Chris Martin as he led by example from the front. Just makes us that bit nastier, which we've been lacking for years.

Really enjoyed the game, great to see Loftus Rd rocking again. The only mild caveat the morning after is that Watford were utterly pathetic. The amount of times they just gifted us the ball was unreal.

Tough to mark the ref/s - 1st half was pretty good but the 2nd was awful. Not complaining but I thought that stupid Amos challenge was a nailed-on penalty
