Spurs had only 1 Dier on the pitch we might not have anyone with that name but we had at least nine who should have that name because that’s what their performance was like. Our manager is the worst I can remember f1946 including Ian Brandford, he is totally clueless in tactics and motivation in 20 games under his control we have gone so far back that I think even Eastleigh could beat us. I was going to say the Poo but we could never go that low could we.

Think they had the Team Christmas party last night !!
Never seen such an inept, unmotivated, lazy performance. Even us Saints fans were singing you're getting sacked in the morning and a bloke near me was betting on his phone at 1-0 that Kane would get a Hatrick - Nuff said

I predicted 4-0 Spurs and for a time it was right only Saints playing in the last 20 minutes like they should have all game changed that . Sad to say but its goodbye to MP you just didnt make the grade.
We need a new manager discard the slackers and malcontents and rebuild quickly or its the Championship next year .

So poor. I'm getting tired of saying "that's the worst half of football I've seen them play in years" every week. I think some of the fans' reactions provoked a pick-up in the second half and there some signs but then ridiculous mistakes like Redmond's pass upfield to the Spurs midfield for the fourth goal. Forster has been getting some his mojo back in the last few weeks but today he was in Fairyland - awful positioning and, I hate to say it, an apparent lack of bravery. The defence and midfield were like American Football special teams - never seen together on the pitch. Long was tireless but had no support when we did break. Romeu was playing angry in the second half which at least seems to have shaken off the dream he's been in for most of the season. I was impressed with Tadic's determination when he came on but he seemed to want to solve the whole problem on his own and that led to different problems. And, while the overall performance was a horror show there was a good deal of effort from most of them. They just aren't playing well and it seems they either don't understand what the manager is trying to get them to do or he doesn't understand what they are capable of. Maybe getting rid of him would work but who else is there, we haven't even got anyone who could be a caretaker for the Christmas period. Either we get someone in within the next few days - Monk, Tuchel, [insert name] - or we have to give MP time to use the transfer window. I honestly don't hold out any hope that we'll get anyone significant in and we may well lose VVD, Cedric and Bertrand. Finally, credit to those players who came all the way over to applaud the Saints fans despite the fact that they'd been booed, and that some of them gave their shirts away. They showed some humility. Shame that Fraser didn't even cross the halfway line before trudging off. Off to Old Trafford on Saturday. Happy Bloody Holidays!

Even though Larry12 does go a bit over the top I do tend to agree with him, for a few years we have been selling our top players and replacing with not as good. The last two managers appointed have been awful who does the buck stop with? Reed head of recruitment. I could go on my x box put fifa disc in and do his job and I’m not even joking

If larry12 is suggesting that the majority of fans, educated or otherwise, are not concerned over Reed's performance I think he is wrong. It is also not an either/or: MP's fault or Reed's. Both are useless in my view - and both should go.

Almost like a different team to the one that got embarrassed on Boxing Day! Maybe the VVD issue really was affecting performance? Or maybe MP just woke up and realised that sitting back isn't the same as defending well, and that defending well means being prepared to push forward too. There were times when Saints were pushing MUtd back with 8 players camped in their half...impressive. Now if only there were one bloke who could actually score a goal, we'd be laughing. If this is how we can play when MP looses the leash a bit, we'll probably be safe; get in a goalscorer this week and we'll definitely be safe. Meanwhile, massive effort by the back four, but still Hojbjerg was head and shoulders above the rest of them. Special mention for McCarthy....and for MP for having finally made that decision.
