Saints Have £6.8 Million Bid Rejected !
Wednesday, 10th Aug 2016 16:24

Saints have allegedly had a bid of £6.8 million pounds rejected by Dinamo Zagreb, but will they up the offer ?

Saints have had what in effect is a bid of 8 million euros turned down by Dinamo Zagreb for midfielder Mark Rog.

21 year old Rog joined Dinamo Zagreb on a five year contract from RNK Split last summer and his impressive form has also seen him win International honours for Croatia.

His fee last summer was 5 million euros so it is fair to say that Dinamo Zagreb want a little more return on their investment with 12.8 million being touted in his home country, that means that if Saints want to land him then they will need to be looking at around 10-10.5 million euros.

He is able to play in several positions including as an attacking midfielder and as a forward in a wide position.

Rog has also been linked with a number of clubs including Liverpool, Napoli & Villareal, but the word is that Saints are keen on acquiring his services and are likely to up the bid.

I’m not screaming for marque signings or for Saints to spend money unnecessarily, but if we are hoping to bring youngsters through surely the players we do pay for should be genuine quality or not bother at all.

By that I mean significantly better than we have. This guy seems like 'one for the future' surely ‘potential’ first team players should be our youngsters ?

If Les Reed is in charge of the offers, why does he ALWAYS insult prospective clubs with these pathetic offers. He seems to be constently riling and alienating clubs with his amateur, schoolboy negotiating crap, non existent skills. Sack the incompetent tosser now, before he cocks up his 7th window.
Replace Labanana, Puncheon, Ramires, Juanmi etc. IE, attacking midfield. Oh those who can kick the ball at the goal thingy and hopefully don't pass it to the goalie.

Larry, there's a phrase. If you don't ask you don't get. We're a business.it never hurts testing the water for them to come back and say we want this. It's called bargaining.hence why were successful in not wasting money
