Pellegrini: Im Under No Pressure Tuesday, 3rd Mar 2015 17:21 Manchester City Manager Manuel Pellegrini says he is under no pressure to win any trophies this season. There has been mounting speculation that Pellegrini is facing the sack in the summer if he doesn't bring home any trophies this season, but he denies he is under pressure to do so. Pellegrini said to ESPN “I never have any pressure to win the amount of titles and to win a title every year if I want to continue here,” Pellegrini insisted. “When I signed the contract, I was never told I must win a title every year or that I must win five trophies in five years. “You never know in football. There are different ways to analyse the season. The title is important but it is not the only important thing,” If City are to win any trophies this season they will have to either close the five point gap on Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table or over turn a 2-1 deficit against Barcelona in The Champions League.
