Development side .

Of interest maybe?
Firstly, a colleague teacher friend of mine played for Oxford City in the longest ever FA cup tie v Alvechurch in 1971. Needed 7 games!
Second, personally won’t downgrade the level of the fixture v the Unversity. The height of my football playing career was a couple of games for Keble 2nd 11.. the proper Uni side was dreamland.

The Beatles were a bit crap...
at 14:59 5 Mar 2025

Funnily enough, I tend to think Rubber Soul is overrated a bit. So I’d say Run for your Life, Michelle and Girl are a bit naff. Disagree about the white Album though…even the bad stuff is well worth a listen.

Feel I’ve got to comment on the Conspiracy theory notion. What a load of old rollocks…so a nice one to join the pantheon of drivel some out there love to sign up to. Cup final replay … brilliant performance, we played out of our skins but didn’t have much luck. The other examples quoted all fit the “ wasn’t our day” category. It’s obvious when one team believe it’s all or nothing on a game and the other has their towels ready, there’s every chance the desperate team out perform. That’s what happened yesterday.
My one fear about what’s left of the season? We’ve got our holiday brochures out already. There were some worrying signs of that yesterday and in some of the vibes from the club.

Presumably evidence of what to expect..obsessive interest from Korean fans? - but interesting.so has a Danish fan got one of Masden. I’m not sure I saw him touch the ball on Friday?

Both agree and disagree with the above stuff. Neither team is anywhere near Premier league. Not much between them now. Lose Friday and look behind with trepidation. Win And the Play off “ dream” survives. Mind you, not much chance there, unless it’s achieved on the back of some amazing performances next month.
With regard to last night’s ref….really don’t think it’s sensible putting any blame there. Take off our tinted specs and he was the same for both sides…particularly with regard to shirt pulling antics.

Firstly, it shouldn’t be hard for us all to agree that the comments were Ill advised. Beyond that, seems to me the rest of this thread isn’t appropriate for this forum. For those who feel the issue is personal to them they will sadly never agree. It’s much simpler for the rest of us to see the sad impact on both sides of this intractable situation.

So…if Jimmy does go, let’s have a dose of reality here. The reason we love him ( at the moment, remember last time at Millwall?) is his heart and dependability. We do base a lot of plays around him, but he’s not the Messiah. In fact, I don’t think he’s fully comfortable with the tippy tap stuff at the back. Surely if he goes on Monday the club will have already factored it in and gloom and doom today may turn to sunshine on Tuesday?

So who’s going to leave on Monday?

My ideas?
Probably EDB on a loan?
Maybe Bennie?
What do we think?

So we need to get ready for a deluge of new Korean fans on here? Hopefully lasting longer than the last lot! Who knows, might even be a familiar face or Wan?
(See what I did there?)

Agree with all this…I think he was ahead of his time. In those days we were so used to literally outstanding players.. someone like Mickey was undervalued.
I often think of just how fickle and nasty the online world can be. This site is a cut above most, but my word virtually all of us like to find someone to vilify. I was once accused of being some sort of Bobby Zamora love interest on Fantasy Island because I defended him in an unpleasant thread..about 3 months before THAT moment.

Just checked out the fixture list and I can’t see any more crazy long distance turnarounds for the team..and especially the fans. The next 8 are at home or reasonably accessible. Just Boro away after that until the big finish on the last day! Just might be another factor to add to this peculiar feeling of optimism I’ve woke up with!

In all the excitement just remembered . We are playing Arsenal shortly. Anyone know any way to follow the game? Arsenal’s first team will be playing at the same time, so zero on their site. It’s a big game for our youngsters.

In the, very, cold light of day. It’s ok to feel angry, especially those who were actually there. I think we all expected a really good go after what was said in advance. Didn’t happen. A large issue was lack of luck..team selection? Maybe might have saved us on the day, but probably not as quite simply, Leicester have a better squad if they were motivated. And they were. So it’s ok to be fed up today, but there’s no need to throw the toys out yet.
