Yet, they were fit enough to start.

In that case wouldn't a 50% Bony be better coming on after 30 mins.

Canas instead of Emnes still puzzles me tho!

I could see that the Pablo & Ash subs were injury related but I don't care if Bony was not it the game. He didn't look tired to me. You don't take off your main striker after 60 mins, in a game that you are only winning 1-0, with 2 substitutions left. The fact that all the strikers on the bench are yet to score Premiership goal this season makes it worse. The Palace centre-halfs were as equally surprised as Bony. He also our best defensive header at set pieces, something that is quite handy against a Tony Pulis side.

Also, why Canas for Pablo, why not Emnes then to play at no 10?

Long balls/long passes

FourFourTwo allows you to see the OPTA Stats for yesterdays game.

We tried 41 long passes with 20 being successful.

We played 470 short passes with 407 coming off.

So 8% of our passes were long. I personally don't think there has been a increase in the long pass. I think it seems to stand out more bow that JJS like the long pass.
