There was one player that I was thinking of, but sadly he never played for Wolves. Still worth mentioning Lee Molyneux though |

Really? With a gun to my head, I'd have said I'd been with you to Anfield pushing 10 times! I think with work and not wanting to waste leave ahead of a promotion push next season, I may only have 1 or 2 aways left this season. |

I've sacked it. Youngest lad is going for a weekend with his mate. Eldest lad is looking at watching Dumbarton on Saturday and Celtic Sunday as his ship is in Scotland I am watching Half Man Half Biscuit in Cardiff tomorrow instead. |
 | Forum Reply | Best Pub In Southampton City Centre at 08:51 22 Feb 2025
I quite like Steingarten and wouldn't put it with the likes of Yates but the city centre is a bit barren for decent pubs. Last time I was in the Guide Dog, my old Fremch teacher from school was in there and he recognised me and pointed and shouted "RIGHT WINGER!" I was a bit shocked as I am quite the opposite and so is he, but he couldn't remember my name and was just referring to my position on the football pitch (got that wrong as well as I was left) Carlton Crescent has some decent pubs but as Nick said, they are pretty small and get heaving. |
 | Forum Reply | One last thought from me on today’s game at 22:51 16 Feb 2025
The bit that annoyed me was Smallbone being booked for knocking the ball away a split second after the ref had blown his whistle, and one of theirs carrying on a dribble and then knocking the ball forward well after the whistle had gone. Bournemouth had a few injuries with players going down but not quite needing the trainer on at 1-2, plus one of those ones that has crept on this season with the player being hurt because the ball has hit them. Ffs. But, all credit to them, everyone else does it. We should if we are winning again at some point. |
 | Forum Reply | European matches and ticket advice please. at 15:33 11 Feb 2025
I have been to several matches across Europe in the past few years and have never used one of the package companies. It does depend who you want to see though. I have been to games at all of the top Spanish sides (apart from Real Madrid as I don't like them) and have bought tickets from their websites. Same when I went to watch Roma. I've found top flight Bundealiga tickets harder to get, but have been to watch Hertha Berlin a few times and that is quite the experience. 71500 there when I went the other week, with around 25000 Hamburg fans. Plus, Berlin is an amazing city and is pretty cheap. For Ajax tickets StWizzler and I used a ticket agency to guarantee tickets and that wasn't too pricey. Would definitely recommend doing it, I've had some great times. |

My ST is in the Northam. I'll be moving next season. Constant chants of that awful Allez dirge coupled with weird, racist chants about our players' cocks aren't really my thing. We don't seem to do fan culture that well down here. Shame as the set up is decent enough. The fanzone isn't really for me but it seems popular for those that do want to use it. But what a depressing place the whole stadium was on Saturday, quite the opposite of FA Cup games in the past Some huge decisions to be made by the club this summer, and I think we'll be starting from scratch with a new team and management [Post edited 11 Feb 14:59]

Agree with that. I think Walcott had a good career. He should have had a great career. He burst on the scene with us and played without fear. Left far too soon and though he did well,.I think playing for a year or two in the Championship would have made him better. I think Dibling may have benefitted from being left out a few times this season, which if we hadn't been so absolutely terrible, may have happened |

I think it is a Man City chant harping back to when they were not owned by a nation state, and weren't quite so unlikeable. Totally take your point though. Also "How sht must you be, it's only etc etc" [Post edited 16 Jan 9:47]

 | Forum Reply | Is it ever acceptable to abuse players on social media at 10:36 14 Jan 2025
No, it isn't acceptable. As long as they are doing their best (if I was a Brentford fan, I'd be livid at Wissa's effort to stop the Plymouth goal, but wouldn't abuse him), then no, it is unfair. Especially when their families see it. Though I'll contradict myself and say I have no problem abusing politicians etc for what they do. Just don't let it get personal |
 | Forum Reply | Are the days of "woke" ending? at 20:14 12 Jan 2025
Blokes in dresses telling fairy stories to kids, some of whom they later is abuse has been an issue here for a while. I guess you aren't talking about the church though? The whole Woke thing.has been blown out of all proportion. It is pretty easy to ignore stuff you don't want to participate in (Pride, marches, petitions or whatever), and also not be offended by the things you are told we are offended by. Far less hassle to just try and get on with people, and judge individuals on their actions |

Yes. This is the North Hands derby. Winch have had recent derbies against Totton, Sholing and The Demi-Skates of Havant and Waterlooville. Yet Merther away was midweek. |
