Strangely enough, the same thing happened in the Leicester 9-nil . The Northam actually got louder. I quite enjoyed the second half last night. It's probably the same odd feeling of peace and serenity that drowning people apparently experience. |

I'm not being told what to do by you or anyone else. I actually look forward to going to games, seeing friends and having a few beers, supporting the team through thick and thin. Besides, a few people boycotting will do absolutely nothing. Especially if they don't actually go to games in the first place. |

Watching it back, the ball was way over Stephens' head. Even Tall Paul wouldn't have been able to have headed that. Solent were very complimentary about JS in their commentary. |

Most people round me thought the Tall Paul song was funny. And from my spot in the Northam the away fans are definitely quieter than they were last season. If and when Saints starting winning (big if) I reckon the atmosphere will be great in the Northam. |

The reason most of us don't boycott games is because we actually love going to games, meeting up with mates, having a beer and a laugh. Yes we are all desperate to see Saints do well, and sometimes during really bad times we do wonder if it's all worth the time and money, but most of us have been around long enough to know that in general the bad times eventually get better, and equally the good times don't last very long. That's one of the occupational hazards of following a team like Saints. If fans simply stopped going because the team was crap, or because they didn't like the manager, the club would have folded decades ago. Fortunately the vast majority aren't like that. |

Is this the same manager who would probably have been sacked a fortnight ago if the officials hadn't made some terrible decisions in his team's favour. As always, you have all the answers but absolutely no solutions. |

Our style of play does have its benefits. As an old git with a dodgy bladder it's a comfort to know that I can go for a slash at any point in a game and by the time I get back to my seat the ball will still be roughly in the same part of the field. |

I'm really pleased for the folks who say that £30 (plus booking fee) is reasonable for a game just before Xmas that's on TV and we will probably get stuffed in. I'm glad they're all doing well. Unfortunately not everyone is in the same financial position, especially at this time of the year. |

So you're implying that the players deliberately disobeyed the manager's instructions in order to score that goal? Just out of interest, what do you think the manager was expecting them to do in that particular situation? |

After the bus fares went up to £3 the other day I was considering buying a private jet, but now I shall be thinking again. |

Vincent bloody Pericard. Oh how we laughed when he played for Pompey reserves at St Mary's and somehow hit the scoreboard from about three yards out. Oh how we wept a couple of years later when we signed him on loan. |

Since most Man City games these days end up as little more than exhibition matches, they should really be re-named the 'Haaland Globetrotters'. |

What's the point in lobbing high balls to Archer when he's being marked by a 6'5" defender? Ramsdale's passes were on the whole pretty good, but it does rely on the player he's passing the ball to being able to control it, and also that player having someone to lay it off to, and, more importantly on Saturday, a referee who actually gives free kicks when a defender tries to kick our forwards up in the air. |

Probably the biggest cheer at the Legends game today was when Le Tiss came on as sub. He slotted home a penalty with familiar consumate ease and was still signing autographs half an hour after the game had finished. He may have a few mad ideas that people don't agree with, but he's very much still worshipped in these parts. |
