Be much more convinced about this idea of deliberate pricing everything to force us out of cars if it didn't cost the same amount to get a train for an hour as it does to buy a small island. |

First half of the season Nardi by a mile, but he's just seemed off it the last 5-10 games. But who knows, nobody is really standing out as being consistently great this season which is a bit worrying. |

Your definition is correct but I think it's "their" here.
Foot belongs to the person, sentence is talking about the action of what they are doing with their foot (not trying to bring "they're" into this!)

The last para here, I can't wrap my head around a good answer. I want to know what's happening too. But if there's even a small chance that keeping it in house, with the fans in the dark, is going to help performances, recruitment, retention or morale in some way, I'm ok with that. But on the other hand it could do none of that and we're all frustrated and left looking for explanations for no reason.
Sadly we have no way of knowing which it is. I think this board ends up being split between those who trust that the people in charge have the best interests of the club at heart by keeping it quiet and those who think the people in charge are just looking not to have to deal with the headache of having to explain themselves to supporters. |

I know subsidies are a part of this, but it's $7 (so about 5 quid) for me to get a return train ticket from the suburbs into downtown Chicago, that's about a 25 minute train ride each way, on comparable quality trains. It's another $5 for unlimited bus and "el" (tube equivalent) rides when I'm downtown.
It's not quite the scope and network of London but it's not a million miles away. I simply can't wrap my head around Public transport in London being so expensive now, it's crazy. |

Respectfully disagree. I think he hesitates rather than fully commiting. Fraction of a second earlier he hits that the right side of the ball and it's a goal.
I know it comes across as a knock on him and god knows sticking your head in there at that height is asking for a kick in the face, I'd not have even tried it myself. Thought he was our best player overall today, I just think he'll be thinking tonight "if I hadn't hesitated a touch that would have been a goal" |
