It was quite serious mental health issues with Diakite wasn't it? Clive did a good piece on him on a match preview last year - not the Daily Mail stuff but witch doctors and general struggles with reality. Pretty sure someone on here bumped into him at a game at Loftus Road a couple years ago and he said he still comes to watch when he is in London? Strange, strange player. |

Friday Night Lights is a sports movie I genuinely enjoyed. The TV series is also pretty decent. Also thought King Richard was a great film! |

He looks to be a superb keeper and a great example of the scouting Europe model working. For my money he is a better keeper on what we have seen then Seny Dieng is. How many mistakes has he made leading to goals this year? Very few. Seny is definitely not a rick-less keeper - and has let a few soft goals in for Boro this year already from what we've seen. I'd only really rank Seny as the better keeper in terms of playing out from the back based on the first few months of the reign of Nardi. His kicking is a little dodgy let's be fair. |

6 goals in 84 career appearances to date according to Wiki? We've got our own strikers that don't score thanks. |

Can't see him making at Newcastle if he's wearing gloves on a mild December night in London! |
| Forum Reply | Chair at 18:18 10 Dec 2024
The club have an option on Chair's contract so he is effectively under contract to Summer 2026 tbf. |
| Forum Reply | Chair at 11:56 8 Dec 2024
I don't disagree that Chair goes straight back in the team. Not so much yesterday but away at Watford there were a few moments where we got great opportunities and I thought that it wouldn't have happened if he'd been on the pitch as it was based on winning the ball and playing quick, incisive balls forward which is not one Ilias's fortes as a player. Of course he'd likely have created other different opportunities had he been playing. In the current team we do seem to have players (at least in the last two games) who will make those quick darts forward that have been sorely lacking in recent years. It will be interesting to see if he can play a little quicker within this system. |

In his ITV interview Jimmy mentioned that a player sat in house house for four hours this week while a plumbing issue was being sorted out - to help him as he couldn't be there with his personal difficulties. Mentioned it was Nicolas that did that so presuming he meant Madsen - which is at least a sign he's a good bloke. Be interesting if we wound up playing Kolli up top, with Chair, Dembele and Saito behind him at some point this year. Would surely be the shortest ever frontline if it did come about. |

He's definitely noticeably quicker over 5-10 yards and getting stuck in a lot more. Could do without his attempts to play clever flicks in our own half though - get us into trouble more often than not. Clearly is some talent in there and the best option there. Feel optimistic about him. |

Given my track record in the prediction league I have gone for a Norwich win which means a guaranteed three points for the Rs |

I really enjoy watching him - and his lack of end product is rather more to our finishing ability really isn't it. He's out of contract at Lommel at the end of the season isn't he - so a contractual free for all? I imagine there'll be suitors aplenty but would love him here permanently. Big if re: our staying up in there of course. |

Dunno about him being an R but I grew up over the park from Melrose Avenue where the first bunch of his murders were and my parents knew him to say hello from Labour party meetings in the late 70s/early 80s. |

Gavin Peacock is up there with David Icke for me. Absolute lunatic. |

Crazy decision. Their owner said he knows what it takes to be successful in this division but he never played in it (admittedly for being far too good) and couldn't get a Derby team with Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori and Harry Wilson alongside a clutch of good to decent Champ players out of it. Agree Coventry should be pushing playoffs by their squad alone - but a crazy decision to hire him. |
| Forum Reply | Extended highlights QPR 1 Stoke 1 at 07:21 25 Nov 2024
Watching QPR live and highlights the phrase "just put your foot through it" comes to mind so often in both boxes. Genuinely not sure what Sam Fields think a gentle side foot is going to do when the ball is cut back to him 15 yards out. There is life and guts in the team still however. |
| Forum Reply | Cifuentes gone? at 09:47 24 Nov 2024
If/when he does sack Cifuentes I am hoping and expecting to hear all sides of the ground singing words to the effect if Christian Nourry get out of our club. If the owners even take a smidgen of note/interest in what the club will say they will know the fault lies with them and their decision to appoint this charlatan. Not quite Tony F/Mark Hughes and Joorabchian levels but the guy seems to be a complete chancer. It never works out as simply as you'd like but even if we do go down which seems likely you'd think some of the youngsters being bedded in this year could be effective in the league below i.e Morgan, Lloyd, Bennie and co. though that is all rather clutching at straws - but I'd want Marti in charge of the rebuild |

My continued optimism is not faring me well in the prediction league alas. |
| Forum Reply | Is anyone else a bit done? at 17:48 10 Nov 2024
I do feel a little resigned to relegation this year and it is purely down to there just not being any goals in the team, and for a lot of the season it has been pretty difficult to work out what our plan is to try and score the two we tend to need to win a game. If we are to go down, I do hope they get rid of Nourry and Belk as they are surely hugely culpable for where we find ourselves - but they won't get rid of me. Been going QPR since I was 6 and it has rarely been because we're brilliant or doing well. Just a part of who I am, and lots of friendships that are based around the club like so many others. We are of course only 5 points adrift, and there are 31 games to go but I do struggle to see how we are going to score the goals to survive and negate our seemingly unerring knack to clear the ball straight to the opposition and concede a la Cook yesterday and so many others this season. Gone for the 1-0 win in the Prediction League, it's why I never finish in the top 6 pages. |

My neighbours offered me their season tickets over Christmas - had to point to the empty seats next to and behind me and say we can't even get our season ticket holders to turn up. Tough times. |
