That will do nicely.

Not sure I was expecting that.

surprised at that. Big two years for the lad. His goals tally would make him an asset in any side but for a central midfielder, he needs to start dominating games. We won't be talking potential in two years time.

Just needs Jack to "sort out" JK now!

Excellent news, A fit Andrew Tutte with a couple of years experience under his belt should really kick on now and become the player we all want him to be. No more "disappearing" when the going gets tough. He could lead us out of this division if his head is right.

Definitely not expecting that. Thought he would look to move on. I thought we might have offered him a contract to get a fee not with the expectation that he would sign it. Interesting if Kennedy signs as there would be him, Tutte, the Aldershot lad, and Cavanagh all fighting for probably 2 positions assuming Hill sticks with his successful 4-4-2 (or 4-2-4) and does not go 4-3-3.

Clearly KH sees the potential in Tutte and hasn't given up on him, as I thought he might. A 2-year deal is more than I would have thought, but if he didn't think the player was worth it, he wouldn't be offered the deal. I hope Tutte now blossoms into the player his early career promised he would become. Make or break for him.

Perhaps KH will adapt him to a new role.

In terms of central midfield, IF Kennedy signs, which I reckon he will, we'll have JK, Tutte, Vincenti, Cavanagh, Hery and BBM, Allen and Camps in back-up.

Happy with this on his day Tutte is a class act and we need to remember he is only 22 so he should only get better over the next two years. He also pops up with a few goals as well.

Up the Dale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cav can also cover in defence as well although that could be a liability

In a Daleplayer interview at season's end, Hill spoke of how important Tutte was going to be next season. The manner in which he said it seemed as though he was confident Tutte would be signing so is no surprise to me.

We now have a half decent quota in the middle and top end of the field... just need to sort out the back.

Wouldn't mind a few experienced players brought in for these positions.

was not expecting this, hilly clearly rates him with 2 year deal

tutte gets his fair share of stick on here its important to remember he's only 22 and committing himself to dale at such a vital time in his career is a good sign of things to come and players are behind hills plan

come on hilly get JK signed

during the failed Eyre and Coleman reigns I thought that Tutte was a cut above the rest of the garbage - though curiously when Hill returned he went missing? - was injured for much of that time though I guess.

Fantastic news, I really think Tutte could develop into our next saleable asset under Hill.

Surprised by this- Posted saying I had heard he was leaving only this time yesterday

I thought that too. Two years would suggest otherwise.

I suspect Vincenti will play more as a winger or striker.

Quite happy with this though. He certainly has the ability, if he gets focused and get's a prolonged run in the team I think he can be a real force at L2 level.

A fair few players on two year deals. Not sure whether that's a good or bad thing!

Flatters to deceive in my eyes, but happy to be proven wrong. I always had the idea it was either going to be Tutte or JK to sign, hope this isn't the case now.

I'm sorry pal I must disagree. Hill predominantly uses 4-3-3 and it clearly is his favoured formation. Hill, certainly since the promotion season, very rarely uses 4-4-2 or 4-2-4. There is a myth that Hill employs 4-4-2 that still prevails amongst some Dale fans and I don't know why.

More great news, Tutte can really kick on now under Hilly. We will have a real diamond once Hilly has turned him into the next Gary Jones

a forward and midfield line up that could include the likes of grant, Henderson, Donnelly, Tutte, vincenti, gray, possibly Kennedy etc, looks very promising indeed. cannot wait for next season to start and hopefully hilly will get centre backs signed soon. role on next season

Agree with all of that. I think its upstairs with Tutte, if he gets his head right and looks like he is enjoying his game it wouldnt surprise me if he moves on to bigger things.

The lad has a lot of talent but without the other traits he is in danger of not fulfilling his potential. I lost faith in him because i wasnt sure of his commitment to the team but am ready to back him 100% next season.

We played 4-4-2 in every game after Cavanagh returned to the side and played in a midfield two with JK. Henderson, Thompson and Grant shared the wide midfield roles, with Grant playing more centrally until Grimes returned to the side. Admittedly one of the front two dropped off a lot, playing the "no 10" role but the formation was still more 4-4-2 than the successful 4-3-3/4-5-1 of the League 1 season under Hill.
