Swansea City : Grit and determination earns the Swans all the points on 17:01 - Feb 9 with 977 views | nantywatcher | Super impressed with every single player today, gutsy performances all over the pitch, Vipo even won two headers (his ball control for our goal was one for the archives, sometimes things fall into place for a reason.) Well done everyone. I'm going on Wednesday which I thought would have been out of the question when I woke up this morning. | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

Personally I think Vipotnik is awful. | ![](/images/avatars/27565.gif) |

I think today was more about the players than Williams, we looked different and better without Grimes, hope it continues O'Brien looks a class act this level, there's more to come from him without doubt with need another midfield option to Fulton on the bench though. I think if there's any chance that we could sign him in the summer I think we should explore the possibility. [Post edited 9 Feb 18:11]

Very much doubt there will be S. I’d say we were more effective today without Grimes but not as orderly because the system with O’B will take time to implement on a consistent basis. Grimes will not be missed I don’t believe. | ![](/images/avatars/8799.gif) |

Clear now Grimrs WAS central to most of our ills A sideways playing coward for a captain who strangled us in most games Cabsngo is a captain Naughton was better although limited Tymon most notably better . Freer spirit Obrien clearly another level Incredible to simply come into a side and be main man , and his was Haven't accept now VIP is one to bin asap Larry today was also back to his best This was down to players not Williams It does show, to me, how it is HE who is holding us back | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) |

There does seem to have been major issues behind the scenes that he was central to. Prompted by LW's clumsy appeals to WBA perhaps, but fate has offered us a fair tilt at a clean slate. If nothing else, today confirms that despite all the tedious wailing, this team and squad are capable of more than we've seen in 2025 thus far. It remains unclear whether the head coach is, but we will give him the benefit of the doubt today. A similar performance to that second half against Sheff W is necessary to avoid the axe IMO. Get through this season, maintain a Championship place, and see where we are in the Summer. | ![](/images/avatars/8802.gif) |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Swansea City : Grit and determination earns the Swans all the points on 19:03 - Feb 9 with 590 views | RichardO | Midfield eventually won, seemed as if O'Brien persisted with his expectancy of players around him to come forward onto the ball which was sorely missing in the first half, maybe because there has usually been a huge gap in the midfield which opposition players have streamed into at will. Seemed as getting a foot in to stop the opposition showboating or as I like to call it marking and fighting for the ball actually works. Hope it continues on Wednesday. | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |
