Spirits are high after Watford... we usually know what follows after.

Have to control their striker, who has scored five in the last two games!

But I think we're going to start showing some consistency. No clean sheet just yet, but I foresee a 2-1 win. Dykes and Dozzell.

I was going to say come Hull or high water, we'll beat 'em but given the drought, I'll say come Heaven or low water we'll beat 'em.
God knows what I'll think in the morning.

There are dire consequences of playing in the Championship. There's always Hull to p(l)ay.

My younger daughter will be defending her 100% record tomorrow (P1 W1), so I’m going for the same result as last time, a 2-1 squeaker. Don’t know anything about Hull!

Tough game If you ask me.

No worries. We've been to Hull and back many times.

It'll be a Hulluva good result if we beat them!

We certainly make a Rod for our own backs at times, but we just need to Emu-late our lovely 0-3 up there last season.

Poll: What should the club do now (assuming no imminent change of owners)?

Very disappointed with the levity on here, some of us think these puns are hull-lerious, where championship football is far from that
This could easily be 6-6 so nailed on a 0-0.

“If” we can win back to back games for the first time this season then confidence will sky rocket in what is mostly a young Rs team. Fingers crossed. 😉

Poll: Where will we finish up next season?

Their injury list is pretty formidable. Not a very QPR thing to do to back up Saturday though is it?

Saturday's win will have come at a physical cost. We really put everything we had into it, and it's a quick turnaround.

I usually don't make predictions until I see our team sheet, not sure even that will tell us too much this time around. This one's in the heart. This one's in the head. This one will have to hurt if we're going to win.

I was re-reading 'Rough Ride' by Paul Kimmage last night. One of the great sports books.

Kimmage was a journeyman cycling pro, known for his work-rate, but he was still stuggling to succeed in his career. He went to stay with Sean Kelly for a week in Belgium. 'King' Kelly was hugely successful and was revered as a great of the sport then, as he is now.

They trained incredibly hard and hit the sauna for ages after.
Kimmage thought Kelly looked awful afterwards, and told him so.

Kelly says "Have you never felt like this after a race"
Kimmage thinks and says "Ya. Once", thinks again and says "have you?".

"Frequently".

"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."

Early Dykes goal to settle the team and we go on to get another two before Hull get one back for a nervy ending to the game.

Poll: Preferred rumoured CB

They have a good recent record at QPR and that was with a relatively poor side, they are a much improved one now. Throw in our poor home form and this will be a tough game to win.
As for their striker, 7 goals in 6 games- not bad for a free transfer from Vittoria Guimarez in Portugal, where he scored 15 top flight goals last season (there are bargains out there if you know where to look - although don’t know what they are paying him).

It's a tough one to call.

Experience/history, whatever you want to call it, has shown not to expect a follow on performance from QPR. The lesson has never reached my heart or my brain.

A brilliant performance followed by a mid-week game always fills me with optimism. I'm yet to see us win this season and really hoping tonight is the night.

2-0 QPR. Come on!!!

Have had so many moments after the Lord Mayor's show with following our great team.

So am very much prepared for 2 nil defeat.

Logic and form says otherwise !!

Heart believes but head knows from plentiful and numerous past such events !!

The Dell 1992....3 days after was it?

Not exactly the same scale as recent events (!!), but its always the template.

1-2 Hull.

Ahh a reference to cycling how super.

Thats why i dont do Time Trials (TT's) anymore, i realised i just dont like making may body suffer as much as i know it can.

To bust a gut, to fight like your life depended upon it, to chase down a ball not just for glory but to stop someone else from ruining your dreams, you dont just need to be physical strong and capable..... you need passion.....you need heart a of lion, then you will succeed.

I think this is a very difficult game. I named Hull as my outsiders for this season, but it is a game that we can win.

When was the last time we did win at home to Hull? And when did we last lose at Hull? A bit like having a better recent record at Swansea than at home to them!
