Dream manager on 17:24 - May 2 by DannyPaddox | I looked up Liam Manning on Wikipedia. His playing career included stints at Selfoss, Melton St Audrey, & Ipswich Wanderers. Weren’t they all in the same league as Melchester Rovers? [Post edited 2 May 2022 17:35]

These are my credentials for the post. I was secretary of Ipswich Wanderers for a season (not when Liam Manning played for them) & got uinjured playing on Melton St Audreys pitch! Two of us arrived for the ball at the same time, I tore my groin & their player needed stiches in his testicles (ouch!). The referee asked to speak to both captains, which was treated with laughter & "their both laying on the ground"! Ipswich Wanderers have been promoted this season with a goal difference of over 100!

To be fair, Farke or Dyche wouldn't be bad, even Benitez/Nuno if no one else wanted the job. But let's be real, we're not getting any of those. We can only dream. We'll end up with some random manager with a bit of league one experience by the looks of it. The club don't want to spunk money and think they can achieve on shoe string budget. Why would anyone want to come to QPR after the way we 'sacked' off Warbs?

I think it's dream territory for a manager to think he could stay in a job for three years. The lack of budget is the main obstacle to recruiting an ambitious but reasonably experienced manager. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I just read the WLS article about Warbs and it appears the issue is more complex. The problems seem to go beyond the lack of budget and is rooted in the back room staff not communicating and pulling in the direction. If the bigger picture is we need have a pathway to the first team, what is a manager to do if the young players aren't good enough? Who's running the first team? Who takes the blame? Do we want a first team manager who will give players that aren't ready a chance?

Dream manager on 19:56 - May 3 with 1473 views | numptydumpty | Dream manager Mark Warburton anyone ??? Good track record of playing attractive football. Brought clubs up in profile in terms of skill levels, attractive and watchable football. Encouraging to younger players in their developments and an engaging and hard working man. Lost roles due to spells of bad luck with injuries and often working on a shoestring with slender squads but always leaves club in a better position than when he joins them. Think Les should be straight on the phone to this chap perhaps !!!!!! You know it makes sense.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
