I don’t often watch his post match interviews but I did last night and he’s clearly a bright bloke who gave an honest assessment. He’s humble and will keep the players grounded which could prove important as the season progresses.
Also noticed after the game that he made a point of speaking to all our players and they clearly like and respect him. Austin gave him a big grin as he was subbed. That goal will hopefully give him a big lift.
All small stuff in isolation but no doubt a part of the reason why we’re doing well under Warburton. Really pleased that he’s our manager.
He's perfect for us. We play mad, great, open, suicidal, adventurous, entertaining, cavalier stuff under him. It's generally great fun. Best manager since Warnock but for those who remember the better days of Doherty and Jago, he's right up there. Venables was of course a great manager for us but entertainment wise, in the 21st century, Warbs has to be the best we've seen for sheer style of what I can only describe as 'QPR football' and that is a great compliment to him and the backroom staff, and the squad.
I actually think he's better than Warnock. Controversial I know. But I think the way he develops players is something special.

So having Bournemouth, Fulham and West Brom as almost automatically in the top six makes it harder in my view to compete. The fact that we are, with a younger and cheaper squad than McClaren, says a lot about his qualities as a manager. And that he manages to also play football with flair and with fantastic team spirit, is a significant achievement.

The improvement in players such as Dykes, Willock and Chair under Warburton has been fantastic.
I love his footballing philosophy too, to impose our game on opponents, rather than trying to stop them playing their type of football. Things like always leaving at least one player upfield when defending corners is exactly what I want to see and obviously led to the first goal last night.
His attitude to risk is also refreshing where he often makes attacking substitutions to try and win matches where a draw is the likely outcome. It has cost us points (Bristol City) but I support the idea of risking one point to get three.
For me it’s playing football the “QPR way” and I hope he we can keep him as our manager for as long as possible. I love watching his team play at the moment.
He's such a clever bloke. I feel he has an intelligence and drive that comes from not having had a successful playing career. Absolute perfect manager for us and hope we don't ever get rid if we have a bad run. Improves players massively. If you were a young attacking talent he is ideal

Agree with this. The last manager I felt this much admiration for was Olly in his first stint. When we talk about our greatest managers in my life time, Olly has to be there simply because of what he inherited and to make that in to a competitive club again was little short of a miracle.
Pretty similar to what Warbs took on.
The common thread also seems to be team spirit - the teams Olly and Warbs pulled together seem to get on very well. Not always been the case over the years has it?
Managers are required to manage what they have at their disposal but directors/leaders have to shape what they want, share a vision and then manage it. Warbs is a leader.
Felt good about him right from the start in May 2019 when, if we remember, he was coming into a very tough situation (world record fine/end of parachute payments/club circling the relegation drain (?) after awful run = perfect storm). Felt we needed him far more than he needed us (and still do).
Bright guy (obvs.) and plays football the right way. If he wants it, he could/should be with us a long, long time and that (IMHO) will be great for the club through this decade.

We, the Club,because of MW are in a very healthy position and the goal this season is top six place, maybe higher. Promotion would be a massive bonus to us all competing against the best in world football.

He is the best manager we have had for years, he fits QPR and is building with his coaching team a real platform for further development. The project is progressing very nicely. Ferdinand and Hoos are doing a superb job as well it has taken time but we are at last looking like a sustainable exciting prospect of a club after years of rollercoaster appointments and squandering millions on money grabbers.

Warnock had money to spend and was poor at developing the youth so he drops out. if MW could just acquire the defensive nous that Venables had he would be one of the best ever at W12. This of course may change as we become more & more financially stable and money is available for Dickie or Barbet style defenders with plenty of pace.
I think the timing is perfect for Warburton. He probably would have struggled had he came in when Ramsey first joined or the JFH timing. Im not trying to take anything away from him because I think any manager a few years ago would have struggled. There seems to be good work being done from the youth squad upwards. Lots of credit should go Ramseys way. Also, I guess Ferdinand and the scouts bringing in the players. It's all gelling quite well atm

Agree on comp to Warnock although I'd say he's not quite up there with Gerry for me yet.
Warnock achieved more (so far) with similar talent level, but Warburton has done fast more to make us a sustainable club with the players he has signed and brought through so that gives him the edge for me

Yes - I certainly remember the wonderful Gordon Jago - I even spoke with him once. And yes, Warbs IS right up there.
In case any of you missed this long, reflective interview (from just before he joined us) it's a fascinating watch: he comes across as so unusual in his background, thoughtful and highly intelligent, and full of respect for others - a gent. It's also interesting to note all his QPR links going back to our greatest side and the ex and future Rs he managed at that other Rangers, whoever they are.

Yep can't believe what you see on here sometimes. I like the Warbs but a year ago virtually to the day it was Warb no plan B ...... Warbs this..... Warbs that ..... best if Warbs called it a day He as done a decent job but to say he as done a better job for us than Warnock is laughable Once he achieves a trophy or even promotion then I will say that he is getting there
