George Cox Interview - Worth a quick read 09:53 - Nov 9 with 4041 views89_50

Comes across well. Seems ambitious.

Sounds like we were very, very close to signing him - to the point that he had toured the training ground and was looking at where to live.

Wonder why it fell through.

Anyway, here's the link if anyone's interested:

I was a bit gutted about that one, really like the look of him.

Maybe touring the training ground put him off

Wonder if we can revisit in the summer.

Or I like the look of Maatsen on loan at Coventry from what I have seen.

Think the left wing back will be a priority net year.

Smells like a trout farm in here

Scoring a few goals and catching the attention in Holland this year, hence this interview, so he'll maybe move out of our budget.

Wonder what the reason was it didn't happen.

Going by that article it wasn't him.

Reading that reminds me that Schteve was successful in Holland and that Matt Smith (the loanee) had a reasonable spell there as well. Neither did very well with us in spite of the Dutch experience.

However, I'm sure it can be a good step for many, although if they want to be successful in the Championship, they may need to toughen up in the lower English leagues as well.

I'm not sure what the loan situation is now, after Brexit, but would this be a possible destination for some of our young players to gain experience?

Couldn't agree a fee with Fortuna Sittard I think.

appealing.
