That is spot on. Crazy from the club to save a few quid.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

The pitch was fine last season so dont think that was the reason. They have always relaid it every 3 years or so. The problem this year was a very short close season which is when most of the preparation work is carried out. This season more games in shorter period. Not sure if they are using faiwood for training this year. The very wet weather for the last three months has not helped either.

Seems a crazy policy for a team who rely on accurate passing for success 🤬

It was 2019 not 2018 sorry. 'The installation was completed in Summer 2019, taking 8 days to complete and is the first time the pitch has been completely renewed from base level in 14 years.' 'The full-size pitch was stitched with over 20 million high-performance polyethylene fibres, which will support the natural playing surface, allowing the stadium to have faster pitch recovery between games and more playing hours than a 100% natural pitch.' Obviously not working. The previous season 'In the Sky Bet Championship, Swansea City win the award for producing a perfect pitch at the Liberty Stadium this season.' I recall several conversations about the state of the pitch 2019 - threadbare in sections and streaks where the natural grass hadn't established itself. Last year, the same. It was nowhere near as bad as this year but it hadn't fully bedded down beneath the top section. The very short recovery time it had this year didn't match up with good growing period which was the same for all clubs and the natural grass seed type was changed. When did the grounds maintenance team change?

Those points apply to all teams and their pitches. The pitch is now quite distracting and embarrassing.

Pitch on 22:57 - Dec 8 with 3423 views | Swans9 | They said on talksport 2 on the commentary what has happened to the pitch. Surely the yanks have to do something on this issue. We will end up with a fine because of the state of it. Urgent action needed.
