Hartlepool, 1968. Lost.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

12th March 1983. Swansea City 4 - 1 Manchester City.

What a start to the next thirty odd years of watching hundreds of live games.

Barrow in the thrid round of the FA Cup - the year we so nearly made it to Wembley. 4-1, if I recall rightly. I had no interest in football prior to that game and was instantly converted in a moment of Damascene revelation. I've missed a few games in the subsequent 54 years though, some of them by choice. Thank you Bob Bradley.

I remember a reserve game against Arsenal, because there was a relatively big crowd as Charlie George was playing, but for me it was all about the men in white. I saw quite a few reserve team games on a family friend's vice president ticket before I ever had the excitement of the first team. I think my first team first home game was Bradford City and a 2-0 win, but it could have been Port Vale and a 1-0 loss. I would have been ridiculously excited.

My first home game was against Spencer Works in 1972 (if you know you know).

Thank you Big P (my big bro)

Only the centre stand was open.

Then because i enjoyed my mother let Big P take me for my second home game a week later, on the North Bank v Workington Town.

The rest is history,

Thank you Phil RIP ✌

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

First game was a friendly against Man Utd in the mid 80’s, fundraiser for the Swans... 5-1? If memory serves?

Nagged my dad to take me along, followed up by a 0-0 draw not long after that against Port Vale maybe? Whatever, it was enough to get me hooked...

I remember a reserve game around 97, our full Rob King had a tremendous battle with a young Norwich winger... The winger got subbed and proceeded to run over to King and shake his hand, one of those things that sticks with you.

The winger was the one and only Adrian Forbes.

Got a bit of bad news today, my uncle who got me into watching the swans died this morning, i will not only forever remember him driving upto my house in plasmarl every other week to pick me up to watch almost every home game but also for the way he was such a quiet unassuming man who was so friendly.

RIP Tom YJB.
