I know Birmingham are pretty sh*t, but my word we are playing some lovely one touch football, aren't we? It's almost back to the Swansealona days under Roberto and then Brendan. Absolutely fantastic to see. Keep it going, boys.

We are looking good but we only saw in patches the way we can truly play yesterday. But that was easily the best performance under Cooper so far, and frighteningly we will get even better.

Brum played as we did under Monk (not surprising given Pep is calling the shots). Sit back around the edge of your area, frustrate the opposition, wait until the crowd to get on their backs so they'll get a little reckless then go for a goal against the run of play. But. We have gone back to having a team that is patient, focussed, can keep possession and a crowd that appreciates good passing passages for their own quality. Goals help the mood.
More like we looked under Laudrup IMO, with our wingers coming infield and the fullbacks roaming forwards providing the width.
Special mention for Grimes. Was solid and composed throughout, and kept us ticking like Britton used to. However, his range of passing gives us an extra dimension. He can fire a pinpoint crossfield ball over the top to pick out a wingers run in behind the defence. This keeps the opposition back four from pushing up playing a higher line, meaning more space in the middle of the park for the creative/attacking players to do their stuff.
