That’s not what he said. I think you’ve paraphrased it and come up with recent history between the players. What he meant was both players had recent history with the club.

I assume that means they wanted to leave and the club wanted them out. He’s probably linked Borja in as an example of both parties putting that aside and getting on with it.

That was exactly my interpretation too.

BBC website says :

"Steve Cooper is hoping £18m record signing Andre Ayew will play a part at Swansea City this season"

We literally paid £18 million to get relegated from the premier league. Fancy doing something as strange as that.

My methods are not favoured by some but by god i speak the truth.

I've quoted it directly from the BBC website, although they may well have paraphrased it in a misleading way.

Misquoted by the looks of it. Here's the WOL version:

'And Cooper admits he's looking forward to working with Ayew at SA1.

“He’s played higher than the Championship. Like the similar questions with Borja, there’s obviously been a bit of recent history with these guys who have been here before," added Cooper.'

I have it on good authority that Ayew and his agent were lunching with Cardiff officials at the Vale Hotel at noon today

If Andre genuinely wants to play rather than just something to do on a Saturday afternoon and is prepared to put a shift in every time he's on the pitch as well as in training, then clearly he could be a big asset to us. Off the pitch we seemed to get a bit more togetherness and humility within the squad under Potter and that seems to be continuing under Coopie so we don't want anyone undermining that.

I think they have mate. I didn’t watch it, but the WOL site has a direct quote, which appears to be more realistic and a lot less mischievous.

The quote was in regards to the last interview where he was asked about the length of time Borja has been without a start/goal for us.

Similar thing with Ayew.

Didn’t say he’d signed, just that the 3 parties met for lunch.
My son works on the resort ground staff, saw the huddle, approached for a chat/selfie but was hurriedly moved aside by resort security & the agent.
