Music was so exciting back then i.e. no band looked the same or sounded the same, each having a distinct sound. Individuality is no more!

And to think he was only 21 when he died. A kid to me basically now, a few years out of school. If he'd never been given (a dream chance for many) a shoe-in into the Sex Pistols he would never acted out the rock n roll star lifestyle that eventually killed him.

Forty years has gone so fast I can remember watching breaking news of his death on 10 o'clock ITN News, seems like yesterday.
