Tell you what mind I used to watch Wales a lot years ago. I was at the Wales v Scotland game at Onion Park when Toshack scored a hat-trick which was incredible.
I was also at a game at the Arms Park where Giggs did a keepy uppy by the corner flag when he was about 18 then crossed it to nobody. He turned out to be shit too

This lad is going to be a real talent, we are fortunate he let his heart rule his head and made the right decision to play for us! Jurgen Klopp was advising him to go with England...
Anyone who watched Malta vs England and Wales vs Austria would agree that Ben has been wise to pick Wales. Heart yes of course, but also Head. Way more joy playing for Wales, and England have been shite since 1990.
Be another player for England, or a legend forever with Wales. The tables have turned.

That's a bit pre-empt Kilky.

I went to the Wales v Scotland World Cup play off game in 85 when Jock Stien passed away, will forever remember getting off the train at Swansea Central ( still unaware to what had happened) and seeing dozens of Scotland supporters in floods of tears as the news was just filtering through
You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

I always think of great managers like Jock and wonder how they'd cope with the twáts of today.

Amazing day out. I don't give a fuçk what anyone says things have changed.
Always remember the day when Scotland played Wales at the Vetch early 80's... the bottom right hand corner of the North Bank turned into a battlefield! Jacks and scum going toe to toe for a good twenty minutes with no one taking a backward step, the Jocks behind the goal couldn't believe what they were seeing! Welsh fighting Welsh.... and yes thank god things are changing ðŸ‘

probably much the same way the likes of Mourinho and Ferguson do/did. Ship em out.
I was at ninian park that night in 85.
it was only a few months after Heysel, and scots journalist have since said Stein was deeply worried any crowd trouble would lead to Scotland/wales being banned. I remember lots of scots fans had tickets for different parts of the ground, but they were all made to go in the grange end and were absolutely crammed in there.

But being born with a welsh grandad does make you welsh qualified. Why the self hate ?
These are uefa rules and regs, and apply to all nations in the same way.
England and Germany still use it despite large player numbers. England have picked new British nationals like Luther Blisset back in the day.
Small nations like wales and ireland absolutely should use the rules and regs. Thats what they are there for.
Ben promised his grandad he would play for wales. The end. Been with wales since 12 year old.
And england would not pick him anyway.
Exactly. He's eligible and he chose to play for Wales where arguably he could've waited a few years and probably got an England cap.
2 of my sons were born in India, another in Bristol and my daughter in Luton. If I asked them where the nationality they most identify with, they'd all say Wales. It's about upbringing
