Redknapp Transfer Ban 12:07 - Jan 28 with 9034 views | nadera78 | Given that we're probably 60-40 (if not more) towards getting relegated and that, whatever league we're in next season Redknapp looks increasingly unlikely to be in charge at Loftus Road, does anyone think it's a good idea to let 'Arry sign players on permanent deals this January? Anyone taking over in the summer will want his own squad for whatever league we're in and the club will, yet again, be trying to shift players in/out on a large scale. Redknapp should be told in no uncertain terms - no permanent deals in or out. Loans only.

Redknapp Transfer Ban on 14:08 - Jan 28 by stansleftfoot | I think we've seen Harry's signings, other than the perma-unfit Sandro in demonstration games recently, presumably in an attempt to clear the decks of unwanted and unselected players. That plus the clear instruction that TF expects HR to use "his" players to keep the Club competitive and in this League finally shows a strategy in place, or rather another strategy. Strategy A, cost £200 Million and a strong chance of relegation, and a squad that is not fit for purpose. Strategy B, crystallizes even more debt as Contracts are wound up and our sale prices incur losses, it maybe possible to offset these losses in the FFP battle. The final point is why, given all the evidence, would TF, AB and G allow Harry Redknapp to get close to their money? |
If they don't trust him with their money, why do they trust him with the single most important aspect of their £200m 'investment' i.e. keeping the club in the league! It seems a strange time to close the purse strings, but it's overdue to be honest. I honestly think that TF is distracted and hasn't realised the predicament we're in, a couple of losses to Stoke, Soton and Sunderland though and they'll panic fire Redknapp way to late to make a difference...

TF has accepted he's absent but has said Sir Les Ferdinand and presumably Phil Beard give him another set of eyes over the Redknapp regime. There are rumours of discontent, there is continual evidence of a lack of intensity to our training and coaching. The quality of game management and tactical skills of Redknapp have never altered or been disputed, he is out of his depth. The use of Barton as the default deadball specialist speaks of a lack of analysis, favouritism, or just management laziness. The baffling use of mixed messages to the Media by HR speaks of a type of corruption or duplicity that must act against what is a team or squad effort. All these elements of HR's management still do not give enough strength to an argument that there is more suitable team, than HR, Bond, Jordan, Hoddle and possibly the wild card Steve Black, as yet unplayed this term, to keep QPR up. What is clear, is that whatever Division the Club is in next year, Harry Redknapp must not be invited back on any terms and on any contract.

I dunno, i think any change might be better and is unlikely to be worse!

Redknapp Transfer Ban on 13:21 - Jan 28 by HollowayRanger | my worry I if we go down ,we could also be with a transfer ban then what? we would be stuck with what we got and youth team players unable to build a championship team |
Even allowing for the vindictive nature of the FL I think imposing a £50M fine and a transfer embargo is a step too far.

I think the embargo is for teams in breach of FFP that don't go up, the fine is for teams in breach that do - could be wrong though. So we'd get a fine upon relegation, then the next season if we are still in the Championship and still in breach of FFP we'd be hit with an embargo.
Redknapp Transfer Ban on 18:13 - Jan 28 with 2481 views | terryb | I won't be unhappy if we reach the end of the window with no additions. I would also acccept any reasonable offers we received for any of the current squad. We won't get as good a price in the summer, so take it while you can. Wages will need to be far less next season. A very pessimistic viewpoint of mine, but I don't trust Harold to make any viable signings. Loans or permanent.
Redknapp Transfer Ban on 19:17 - Jan 28 with 2437 views | QPR1882 | Harry would not be here unless he was assured he can have some spending money. It's an addiction to him, his ego will not allow him not to be seen window down driving out of HQ next Monday.

Redknapp Transfer Ban on 20:50 - Jan 28 with 2354 views | Northernr | Well there is an argument to say that telling a manager who's spent his whole career wheeling and dealing (whatever the fck he says) that he can't wheel and deal when the club's whole future is balanced on a knife edge is a bit daft. Not exactly the ideal time to tell redknapp he's got to start coaching and nuturing players after letting him do as he fcking pleased for the previous two years. But then as we're about to see with Mutch it seems - youngest, fittest, best long term prospect in central midfield flogged at a loss after six months to free up some wedge for one of Arry's 22.55 deadline day "swoops" for some crusty old git he's had six times before with an old soak for an agent who ';Arry likes to deal with a lot for some reason - he's probably going to do more harm than good if you let him get on with it unchecked.

| Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. |

Because A) Deadline Day generates lot of free PR, and B) Spurs wont release their rejects for transfer until the end of the window. [Post edited 29 Jan 2015 13:09]

And C) We have no plan and are constantly chasing our tails... Another window where the squad will probably be even more unbalanced at the end than the beginning.
